In all the to and fro regarding size of wheels and suitability of motorcycle; an important fact has been overlooked that would definitely trump any benefit of larger wheels. Centre of gravity. Scooters win that 100%. Fuel tank lower, transmission lower. Unsprung weight less (on the front at least).

haha! what happened? i leave for a couple days and we have covered the scooter vs motorcycle in just about all variations... glad you all had fun! for the record, i have been driving motorcycles all of my life and my first scooter accident was downhill on a very curvy (fun) road, now i remind myself that i am on a scooter not a motorcycle... haha!
