The building that was supposed to be used as a luxury, air-conditioned lobby for passengers traveling to the Pattaya port in South Pattaya was constructed during the administration of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) in October 2016, according to local media. Despite a large sum of money spent on the lobby, it had only been used one time to host an event since its construction was completed in 2017. Local media said thousands of travelers visited the port every day, but the lobby always remained closed. thaibeachlovers
Another fail by Pattaya administration. Have they ever done anything that hasn't made a dirty word of "administration"?

Popular Post bradiston
So why can't they just install seats in this building, and open it to the public? 5
Popular Post AhFarangJa
May I hazard a guess that a member of the Pattaya administration, the company who built it will get the contract to demolish it, and then build something else in its place.....

No doubt. Or maybe just rename Waterfront, Waiting Room. A little bit of refurb on the ground floor, good to go...

That was my first thought, too. Especially the restrooms. ISTR there were complaints about no restrooms available for folks boarding the ferries.
jacko45k
Build it, and they shall come. I am not familiar with this building.. is it an airconditioned waiting area for the ferry. I would certainly go and sit in there and enjoy AC rather than wait out in the sun.
Popular Post jcmj
Well if they don’t open it, how do they expect people to use it. I just don’t understand their mindset on stuff like this. An easy fix. With all the people flocking to Koh Larn you’d think they’d want this as a good starting point. 2

Longwood50
Why don't they convert it to a bar or a massage parlor and give the police something to raid.

AgMech Cowboy
Considering the cost of a toilet in San Francisco, maybe they could work a deal and send them the toilets (of course minus the lobby). ????
Sydebolle
The purpose of this lobby was to be built; once completed ............... I assume that the planning, bidding, construction and now the subsequent destruction goes absolutely clean and above board ???? Their money, not mine!
