80 Immigration Police To Be Quizzed On Links To Chinese Grey Capitalists

OVER 80 Immigration police including three holding the rank of major general will be summoned for questioning for allegedly helping a group of Chinese grey capitalists reside in Thailand, Naewna newspaper said today (Jan. 16).

 

Deputy National Police Chief Pol. Lt. Gen. Surachate Hakparn, whose nickname is Big Joke, said a meeting will be held this week on this case with two of the three major generals being fellow officers of the Royal Police Cadet Academy, Class 47, the same class as a Deputy Commissioner of Police.

 

Initially they will be charged with violating Section 157 of the Criminal Code for allegedly demanding or agreeing to accept assets or other benefits for oneself or others and wrongfully acting or not acting in keeping with their position.

Thai DSI officials, police and army officers in custody on extortion charges

 

 

Officials from the Department of Special Investigations (DSI), police and army officers are among 16 suspects arrested by police for allegedly extorting 9.5 million baht in cash from Chinese nationals linked to illegal businesses in Thailand.

 

The 16 people wanted by the police include five DSI officials, nine 191 police officers, one army security officer and a Chinese interpreter.

 

According to the DSI, 15 of the officials raided a house in Bangkok’s Thung Mahamek area on December 22nd. The property is reported to have been rented by the former consul-general of the Republic of Nauru. There were 11 people in the house at the time of the raid, including six Myanmar nationals and a Thai. The rest were Chinese.

As noted it is happening way before the Chinese came.  All this talk about immigration visa money corruption sure the little stuff adds bit it is nothing when a guy at the top say do this for me. 

When you talk about Grey businesses all those bars and gogos I suspect aren't all in foreign name.

Put them all together it doesn't make a dent as to what the triads have been doing if you forget just their little investigation they have reach out to 32 plus provinces. 

You can dig into the Bang Na area outside Bangkok the growth of all the hotels and Condo developements where all that money was coming from you think Taiwan since there is a huge populations you think they aren't part of the triad link. 

While Visa and bars bring in millions we are talking trillions the changes in directly with pot, gambling, during covid the invite to people spending 40-50 million investment guess what that was all about.
