A shame it doesn't allow freedom of movement within the EU any more.  The cost should have been reduced not increased.

UK passport holders need a visa to travel in EU? I must have missed that story.

You can go anywhere you choose im th EU unless you can't be bothered to obtain the relevant visas. Not exactly an onerous ecercise.

I think you may be conflating cost and convenience with value.

Maybe not but still a backward step.

Just when will all these Brexit bonuses cease?

Also issued there and then in Thai embassy in London.

UK seems to be a second class service in comparison.

That may depend on the office.

My wife did hers a couple of weeks ago in Pattaya and just like last time, sent out by post, but only took a few days.

It was just 5 years but can now get 10 years.

It is if you happen to want to stay for more than 90 days, as many pensioners used to in winter. Max stay is now 90 days in 180 day period. And no working without a permit.... None of this applied before the suicide pact.

Lots of different countries in the EU you can spend your 90 days, no need to ever return home.

90 days in south of France + 90 days in Spain + 90 days in Portugal .......

No they don't need a visa but from November, but iike all non-EU visa nationals,  they will need an ETIAS (similar to a US visa waiver), valid for three years from November of this year. and costing 7 Euros (free for under 18s)

Wife got hers in two days.     She opted for the ten years validity @ 1500.         Smooth, efficient operation.

OK. I wonder if you could provide a link to where I need a visa for a trip to France. I'm thinking of going next week. Thanks.
