There is a condo project near me that's full of Russians but one car in the carpark has Blue and Yellow ribbons on it,

Probably a Russian anti war type.

I think it’s immature & antagonistic..     Contrary to what sone halfwitted  posters here think I doubt many Russians here feel any degree of support for the actions of their government

Your avatar appears to be infected by the covid.  I'd be more worried about that then what t-shirts we should all be wearing.   And if Putin is a dictator then Biden is a terrorist.  Time to

  • I didn't wear an Iraqi t-shirt when the USA and its lapdogs decide to bomb the place back into the Stone Age all those year ago so I shan't be wearing a Ukraine t-shirt now.

The one thing that i have trouble with is the number of people that even though it does not involve them or they do not have any skin in the game feel that they have to protest.

Bye this I am looking at the protestors that say that people are being treated badly and they want equal rights and values when they were brought up with the silver spoon.

I am talking about the young women that while visiting here decided to get up on the stage at a protest during the last one and complain about how people were being treated in Thailand and how unfair it was.

I am old enough and I am sure there are others that will remember that it was not that long ago that Americans that were back packing loved Canadians,  They loved Tim Hortons, they loved the Toronto Maple leaf's and they loved our flag.  Just as long as they could get one to sew onto their backpacks or luggage, they could get a Timmies mug so that they did not look American.

Getting to the point of this post the one thing the OP has not stated is if he is Ukrainian or not.

When I first moved here there was the red yellow war.  Simple solution was top not wear those colours.

As to the Ukrainian clothes my only comment is the same that I tell my students and my daughter actions can have consequences.    In this case if you wear a Ukrainian shirt and get confronted do not be surprised and be ready to leave that establishment if need be.

It got to the point where I was getting asked where in the states I was from when wearing something with the Maple Leaf.

I'm interested to learn from the OP the reason  some babushka knocks his block off should he wear those colours walking down Jomtien Beach Rd. Will it be for  homophobic, anti-yank or antisemitic reasons?

They asked you state because they knew you were a wanna be Canuck.  And not real.

In Pakistan they asked for your business card because we were not allowed to share

Funny thing is my great x12 grandpa was a Puritan who landed in Boston in 1631. When the  domestic terrorists  took over in the 1770s the family went north to Ontario and we've been up here ever since. GG x6 was the  commandant of the Kingston Garrison appointed by Simcoe

Domestic terrorists?

You're a pistol.

I equate OP's silliness to this ... I'll sure he'll be the first to test out his/her/it's thoughts ...  with a "I hate Russians" placard ????

I'm all for it.

It's a small gesture of support for a country which has found itself on the front line of a global conflict between fascism and democracy.

As for pro-Putin Russians taking offense, they're not the only ones; American conservatives are probably just as butt hurt at your suggestion. ????

Nope. Very comparable.

Self- projecting comes to mind.

With respect, I suggest you watch your own back.

It's projection, really.

Here's the deal:

Sociopaths are, by definition, incapable of experiencing empathy or concern for the welfare of others.

However, sociopaths are VERY adept at FAKING such qualities when it serves their interests.

Hence, whenever sociopaths witness a genuine expression of empathy or concern for the welfare of others, they can only assume the person who exhibits such behavior is faking it - because that's what THEY do.

The more Russians who see other countries supporting Ukraine the better.

How many people do you see wearing Russian symbols????

I don't think anyone cares or would even know what Russian or Ukrainian symbols are, or what the flag colors are.

To suggest that people don't know the colour of the Ukraine flag by now is a little naive

It was obviously just trolling.

I think most Russians abroad don't want to be associated with the war...regardless of there stance they would be very worried about the reactions of others...... they also may be avoiding conscription etc.

You can't avoid conscription by going on holiday.   That's just silly line of thought, and BS.  Just more silliness from the Anti RU folks.

Then you just don't know what's going on do you?

See so many of the posts on this site about Thailand, Shamina Begum, uninsured motoraccident victims etc etc...

Just wondering???? Why wear any specific colours. I have some red shirts and a yellow and blue shirt. I don't consider any of them to be nationalistic.

I pretty sure I got a better idea than most, that think this conflict started just over 1 yr ago.  Need to go back over 10+ yrs to understand just the UA situation.

For a true understanding of the regional issues, need to step back even further, before the collapse of USSR.
