Is it just me, or are the extent and frequency of the pop up ads on this forum increasing? Sometimes there is barely enough room on the screen to write a reply, if using a smartphone. Not sure if they are aware of the difficulty they are causing. 

 

Or, are we supposed to be quiet about this kind of observation? 

Sod the pop-up ads, get rid of that ridiculous yellow invitation to subscribe to Asean's email, sometimes with the Captcha to pick bicycles, bridges or lorries. 

I still get it even though I HAVE subscribed.

 

Change your Browser or simply make better use of the settings of the one that you use now. 

Between pop up ads and the number of media news posts its frustrating to follow real posts here as they are getting crowded out. 

One has to question one's motivation for spending one's time here.

This is how it looks on my desktop screen. I guess about 80% of the screen are ads. Sad.

I use Edge most of the time. I don't know if it is "the best". It just works. And I don't think I know any other site which has anywhere near the amount of ads than this site.

Maybe it's not time for a different browser but time for a new or better forum. 

On android recently there's a very intrusive box advert with video that slides across the screen from the lower right corner. It appears just in the area where you're scrolling and blocks a good chunk of the reading material.

Yea, that thing pops up, more than couple times, and I'm done.  Over to Gmap, to find a coffee/pastry shop ????
