In the event of your death
The reality about post like this? It's the "Irresponsibility Brigade" out to inform "irresponsible guests living in Thailand" to be "responsible citizens like themselves." People die alone all of the time - farang expats and Thais. If they choose not to live up to your own expectations of what constitutes being 'responsible,' well - as I told the OP: "It's their business. Not yours." They are adults - if they choose to make plans, up to them. If they choose not to make plans, up to them. By the way. The embassies have guideline on how they want their citizen's bodies handled, as most Western countries are in fact nanny-states, so the dead body will be taken care of. Everything else goes to probate court, which is why there are probate courts. If the deceased actually has assets, well, "Knives out." The heirs and those who feel they have claim to those assets will fight it out in court. And if the Thai government can get a cut too? I'm sure they are happy to oblige. "That's irresponsible!" And none of your business. -

Devastation in Sumy: Dozens Killed as Russian Missiles Strike City Center
President Donald Trump’s special envoy described his talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin last week as “compelling,” saying they discussed steps that could end the war in Ukraine and perhaps lead to business opportunities. At the end of a nearly five-hour meeting, the envoy, Steve Witkoff, told Fox News in an interview on Monday, Putin made his request to secure “a permanent peace,” a development Witkoff said “took a while for us to get to.” https://archive.is/78Avr#selection-1497.0-1501.222 -

I’ve backpacked through Southpark Asia for years… now i feel quietly pushed out
It seems to be a characteristic of the backpacking fraternity that they assume they have a meaningful relationship with ordinary Thais that better off tourists are denied.I really don't think it works like that.
