Trump posts disturbing baseball bat photo with Alvin Bragg, threatens ‘death and destruction’

Donald Trump on Friday threatened “death and destruction” if he’s criminally charged in New York — writing the shocking social media warning after posting an image of himself holding a baseball bat next to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s head.

“They are HUMAN SCUM!” the 76-year-old former president raged in one post asking why Bragg “refuses to do the right thing and ‘call it a day?’”

Trump is seeking a rematch against President Biden in 2024 and previously used heated language ahead of actual violence — most notoriously on Jan. 6, 2021, when he told thousands of supporters to march on the Capitol and “fight like hell” to prevent certification of Biden’s Electoral College win, which they proceeded to do by smashing into the building and battling with police.

Perhaps something to consider when Trump is arraigned and asking for bail.

Donald, stand in front of a mirror, belt yourself in the head with the baseball bat and tell yourself, "I am a divisive buffoon"!

As the old saying goes, "One picture is worth a thousand death threats."

I guess that is what they call "free speech" over there...

This is evidence that this man needs a tape over his mouth and medical attention.

If Mr. Trump was standing with a water gun in his hand, how many here would say please don't shoot me?

He's not, he's standing with a baseball bat next to Bragg's head. Get a grip, this is highly disturbing and he knows it. That's why its now deleted. Too late to show what he's really made of though.

Anyone with an ounce of intelligence can work that out!

Don't do that Donald as it might just knock some sense into it!

If you like that image, you'll love snuff films.

And he's pretty much sh*tting on himself.

Is that really your perception of the photograph?

I'm intrigued as, when I look at the photograph, I see a picture of Trump holding a baseball bat, I see a picture of Bragg standing at a media lectern, but the baseball bat really couldn't be further from Bragg's head.

The bat is actually closer to Trump's head than it is to Bragg's.

The bat certainly isn't next to Bragg's head.

Do you genuinely believe that the baseball bat is next to Bragg's head?  Do you not know what "next to" means?  Or are you lying?

I know lying about Trump is pretty much a national past-time in the US, but it seems so weird to me that people do it so blatantly.  "Here's a photo of Trump without a baseball bat next to someone's head, but I'm going to lie and tell people that the photo shows Trump with a baseball bat next to someone's head because it makes Trump sound worse."  It's just so bizarre.

“What kind of person can charge another person, in this case a former President of the United States, who got more votes than any sitting President in history, and leading candidate (by far!) for the Republican Party nomination, with a Crime, when it is known by all that NO Crime has been committed, & also known that potential death & destruction in such a false charge could be catastrophic for our Country?” he asked just after 1 a.m.

Possibly hinting that people might riot if he is "falsely charged".  Not necessarily threatening anything.

The baseball bat clearly isn't next to Bragg's head.

Whether you like Trump or not, and whether you agree that he should say such things or not, it's interesting to see the level of misrepresenting of facts that the media does when it comes to Trump, along with how easily people who hate Trump accept lies uncritically and repeat them as fact.

Not just me, from the OP:  holding a baseball bat next to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s head.

Couple that with the death threats Bragg has already had and Trump saying there was potential for death and destruction, says it all to me.

Does Trump make it a practice to have photos of him taken holding a baseball bat. Are you seriously suggesting it's just a coincidence that he happened to be hold a bat next to a juxtaposed image of Bragg's head?

Trump once boasted that he could shoot someone on 5th Ave, and his supporters wouldn't care. Comments like yours definitely lend weight to that assertion.

I read the OP.  But, seriously, do you honestly look at that photograph and see a baseball bat next to Bragg's head?

You believe the "death and destruction" is Trump attacking Bragg with a baseball bat if he doesn't drop the charges?  You seriously believe that?

So that makes it OK for the media to lie in your opinion?

"We the media know who the bad guys are, so it's OK for us to lie to the people in order to stop them."  Is that what you're getting at?  And you don't see any problem with that?

Quote my whole post and don't take things out of context.

And still people defend his actions. What a sorry state that nation is in.

The image clearly show that Trump is okay with actively taking part in death and destruction. So his death and destruction talk is not just a prediction of the inevitable but something it's okay to be part of it.

I wish I could find it hard to believe that millions of Americans are okay with an ex-President posing in such a picture. There was a time not long ago when I would have reckoned it to be an impossibility.
