By Thai Newsroom Reporters

DE FACTO PHEU THAI boss Thaksin Shinawatra today (Mar.27) categorically ruled out the possibility that his party might ever join Palang Pracharath in setting up a coalition government following the May 14 general election.

Posting on Twitter’s ThaksinLive page today, the deposed prime minister contended that the Pheu Thai will definitely set up a government of their own without possible alliance with the Palang Pracharath headed by Prawit Wongsuwan as largely speculated if his party wins a landslide victory in the general election.

Thaksin who has recently offered to put himself behind bars upon return to Thailand to serve a combined 10-year term on three convicted lawsuits said he has no power over the Pheu Thai rank and file despite public sentiment that he practically remains the party’s big boss whose daughter, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, is among a trio of partisan contenders for prime minister.

If "Tony" ever comes to power again, with the relaxed cannabis laws, he could have a field day, he could wipe out millions this time!

I am pretty much in the camp of thinking these people will agree to anything to stay at the pig trough if they can

I'd love to see Pheu Thai and Move Forward party join hands, and get Prawit, Prayut & Anutin out for good.

It's bad enough that lots of Thais are ignorant enough that they would vote for that criminal and his party.

I think it's even worse that this is possible. Dissolve the party and ban all those people in charge who let an outsider "influence" them.

I hope now people wake up and realize how much that criminal still has to do with Thai politics.

And be aware that if his party, in which he has officially no position, will come to power again.

He divided Thailand for years and we can be pretty sure he will continue with that just like he did before.

Never again!

Which is why he'll never share a coalition with the two P's

He will if that is the best way forward for him and his ambitions.

Never in a million years will Thaksin do what is best for Thailand. He will do what he thinks is best for himself. Thats what he did when he was in charge. And there is no indication that he changed his behavior.

And giving crumps or other peoples' money to his supporters is part of that behavior.

Better Thaksin who won landslide election by the people for the people , his biggest mistake Selling his family phone ???? company in Singapore while PM of Thailand to avoid taxes bought him undone as PM of Thailand + was on verge of Separate millatary from Government !! Jaunta coup d'etat bought him undone and his war drugs were all bottom tier groups understood was not pot was Ya Ba  was at epidemic in late 80s 90s when l lived in Thailand & retuned lster in 2009 they needed Thaksin Thailand was a mess all drugs flooding in from Burma back in my days . l prefer Thaksin than the shi_e that took power today  ever since Millatary Jaunta crims , Separate millatary from Government only way forward will never happen unfortunately !! Chaun lekpia was best PM Thailand ever had my opinion honest unbiased honorable Never will Thailand find another like him

Why would the PT party bother to have an alliance with a bunch of over the hill and past it dinosaurs?

That would mostly lose them votes and seats.

How about looking at the facts?

They do something for the people.

Maybe not enough, and maybe not for the right reasons, but it is incorrect to say they give nothing.

Great idea - lets keep Prayut and Prawit!

Really?

So does Prayut and Prawit.

Please tell me which one of the 3 are best - 'cos that's the choice.

How about honest and competent politicians?

I know that is not easy. But voting for knows corrupt criminals just doesn't make any sense.

That's not the only choice.

People have the choice to vote for other politicians and parties.

Honest and competent people could enter the race and get votes.

So what have they done for the people of Thailand?

Why would Pheu That hook up with any other party if they win the vast majority of seats?

Do the Republicans make deals with other parties to form a coalition when they win the House outright? Do the Conservatives?

Parties that win everything don't make deals unless they have proportional representation or a minority government.

Why would Pheu Thai hook-up with PP if PT win a landslide?

That would be the option presented to them by PP that's why.

It would be presented them in much the same way that the NAZI party presented the option that got them into government:  "Let us share power with you or will we make the Legislature unworkable" was what the NAZIs said.

In the case of PP they would also threaten to use the army.

That is the offer they will make if anyone but them gets into power.

The is the subtext of the **** that Prawit was spewing when he was blabbing on about an "end to conflict".

The usual ****heads, posting on this forum, seem to think that is the constructive way forward for Thailand.

What ***** they are.......truly.

Instead of banning political parties that have a nasty habit of winning elections, why not ban amnesties for coup leaders and ban military involvement in politics?

Everyone must play the cards they are dealt, not the cards they wish they were dealt.

Did you read my post? Did you understand it?

PT is controlled by Thaksin. Thaksin is a wanted criminal and he is not in Thailand. His involvement in Thai politics is illegal.

And if he does more of the same and if his daughter becomes PM and follows the orders or her father then nobody should be surprised if history repeats itself.

Thaksin could still be PM and loved by almost everybody if he wouldn't have been so greedy.
