Former President Donald Trump is suing Michael Cohen for $500 million in damages for allegedly breaching his contract as Trump’s former personal attorney.

The lawsuit, filed in a Florida federal court on Wednesday, accuses Cohen of spreading false information about Trump and breaching his contractual obligations to the former president in Cohen’s public statements, published books, podcast series and other media appearances.

Cohen has already given evidence and testimony of crimes committed by Trump and d himself as part of his ‘Attorney Duties’ for Trump.

Suing for giving sworn testimony in court? Trump’s on his hopeless vengeance kick again.

’Crime Fraud Exception’, ‘Attorney Client Privilege’ yields.

"Breaching his contract "?

The bloke perjured himself and went to prison for him!

These lawsuits must be costing Mr Trump a lot of money - I doubt that there are any lawyers left who will work for him without the money up front!

Suing his lawyer for not covering up his criminal behavior.  Brilliant!

Now he's needs to get it in front of a MAGA judge.  Maybe DT intends to hire ol' Clarence as his lawyer.

Now it's Cohen's turn to delay delay delay.

Trump has dime store lawyers who are prepared to risk being sanctioned for the money I presume. They react to whatever trump wants them to do. They have to be such. Some of Trump's lawyers have already been sanctioned and some have faced a grand jury.

I hold on to the idea that what propelled that stolen election clown car (Pillow guy, Sid Powell, Rudy et al) was him dangling a big pile of money for whoever could turn the election results around.  If there is one thing DT understands it is greed.

And of course he wouldn't pay them anyway.  :clap2:

One good thing about all the criminal charges that Trump is facing is that he'll be so busy fighting them that he won't have time to campaign for re-election.

Trumps legal team will be taking care of all that  , Trump will not personally be doing all that

And when he's found guilty he can sue them

It will need to be a lot more money than last year, plus Trump will have to accept the result, win or lose

He'll claim that the jury really voted to acquit him.

That rather defeats the whole reason the dems are bringing charges against him. They want to run against Trump - not desantis. They want to smear him, but not go too far. Desantis and Lake would wipe the floor with the democrats if Trump has issues running.

Which dems are bringing charges against him? Afaik it's career prosecutors.

This one will be thrown out by the judge before he finishes the first paragraph....just like Jackass's other suits.  But it would be fun seeing him argue this case in years to come from a jail cell wouldn't it????   Hillary's having a party.....LOCK HIM UP, LOCK HIM UP, LOCK HIM UP!!!!!   ????????????????????????????

Kari Lake? The election denialist? How did election denialism pan out of candidates in 2022?

The True Believers will send in their nickels and dimes to pay for it. It's always good to have a new enemy when launching the next fundraising campaign.

Trump's alleged lawbreaking has nothing to do with the Democrats or politics. It is everything to do with Trump's alleged criminal behaviour, which in some cases borders on treason. To say otherwise is to condone his behaviour, which anyone with a brain cell can see is unbefitting of a president.

He brought shame on America, and rather than make America great again he turned into a nation that lost the respect of the entire world. Remember he was 'best friends' with Putin, along with his new buddy Kim Jong-un, who both played him for the ignorant fool he is. He is an idiot, and a very dangerous one.

I'm waiting for his new GoFundMe-SMS to his MAGA-GAGA-Crackheads.
Must come in the next days!!!

You sure DeSantis would associate with an election loser?

They already threw jabs at each other, knowing they'll be vying for the same nomination, if DeSantis decides to throw his hat in.   Personally I think anyone will is crazy to run against Trump for the nomination.

DeSantis would benefit greatly by waiting till 2028.

I don't see Biden running or winning against Trump.  If he can even stitch thoughts together for a couple sentences in debates.  Both or either could krap out or have a health oops before next election.

Yes but it only takes a few minutes to send out a social media message about the day's nail in his crucifixion that will generate a million $$$.  And the publicity does not have to be paid for.

On the positive side his Federal case seems to be taking an interest in how he is using this farce to raise funds.

Special counsel probe into Jan. 6 hones in on Trump’s fundraising: report

My guess is he is making more than enough to cover legal fees (on the presumption that he actually pays the lawyers).

I think DT should run for Thailand election instead. It fits well with the way he thinks and operates.
