My bill was up from 260bht to 360bht due to aircon use.

Still, 3.7bht/unit not that bad.

No, still around 350 Baht for a house with two people.

  • You need to realize a lot of people on here sold everything they own to come to Thailand. Now that they are here they are living here, they are on a tight budget essentially living paycheck (or retire

  • How does your wife make the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding then?

3-4hrs/day but I have it set to 29c, best my inverter can do is about 10c drop, so these days at 40c+ it rarely makes it down to 30c.

Is this the bill for an outside toilet? You don't have a refrigerator, any fans, any other electrical devices? Pumps? Lights? WiFi? CCTV? Internet routers? The amount you've consumed is what my house consumes when there's nobody living there.

I've got solar power for most of my home (9x 340w).

Only the aircon, showers and cooker work off the grid.

An increase - 214 units, 897 baht.for latest account to 16 April, some air con, and daughter home from high school

Previous six months' units were: 140, 142, 132, 170, 188, 166

mine went from 1500 to 3000. its the highest bill i've ever had

Our bill was about the same as last year's according to the meter reading the night before, about 1100 kwh or thereabouts. But the solar also made around 400+ units too.

So would have been a considerable increase.

We haven't had a finalised bill yet as they think somethings amiss with the readings. 555.

Perhaps someone has seen something they shouldn't have...eeek

Yep. Washed down with some delicious grape Flavor Aid.

I don't know if the relief will be short lived, but our daily usage is heading back down towards our normal 30kWh after peaking at double that.

As noted in an earlier post, our habits haven't altered, just the weather.

How the ..... did you come to that conclusion??

VAT is still the same at 7%

Ft Charge was still the same at 0,93430 THB per UNit

Edit: Electricity prices (basic) haven't changed (AFAIK) since November 2015 (the only thing changed / added since then is the Ft (Fuel surcharge) )

Our bill was still 4.2 baht per unit but all other costs had doubled. That’s how I ……… came to that conclusion

Please can you post a scan of your current bill and one you are comparing with?

The only recent changes have been Ft (and an Ft rebate for low users). If "other costs" are doubling you may have a billing issue.

I’m not in Thailand at the moment. I’ll see if the wife can send them

actually, they only eat straw.

Condo. 2 people. Minimal AC use. Went from around 1500 to 2900 this month. So yes, doubled. Expensive to start with and now more so.

Just checked my records.  This month this year, 5401 Baht; last month this year, 3689 = UP 46%,

This month this year, 5401, compared to the same month last year, 3884 = UP 39%.

So, far from doubled.  We have 4 a/c units:  two of which are inverters.

Mine went from average 900 per month to 3,400 this month. Yes super hot, have a large great room that has 2 a/c units was running them during the day so I could enjoy watching tv. Leaving them off this month lol

You need to check your bill details. What has changed.

I kept this month's bill and will compare to next month.

I no longer have stub for March 2023.

My lifestyle and electric use has not changed much

800 last month 2600 this month. Re arranged my house and now only use the fan. Its been hell.

Yes, almost double. But in this heat where we are we have been using the Aircon much more. Probably twice as much.

Wife went to see them today. Apparently it was something of a scrum in there many, many people wanting to know why their bills were so high. She eventually got to see the right person, nothing can be done about the current bill, but they will change the coding for the next one. We may receive a house visit to verify that the property is now solely residential, which is to be expected.

This months bill arrived today, now correctly coded as 1125; no one did come to check the property was now solely residential. Consumption down 8% on last month, but bill 20% less.
