For tokers, little will change, maybe a little harder to find but hey, it's been around forever! If this forum disappears, no big deal!

It will be removed.

6. You will not post or link to items or content that are illegal in Thailand or any other country within ASEAN. This includes but is not limited to gambling, prostitution, pornography, narcotics, counterfeit items, illegal file sharing of copyrighted material, pyramid schemes, etc. Discussion of the items included within this rule are permitted as a reply to a news item, but never as a "how to" topic. Discussions must not be in breach of local laws.

29. You will not discuss the specifics of prostitution. Although Thailand has a visible sex industry and acknowledgement of that fact is not forbidden, ASEAN NOW is not the place to seek or give information on this topic. ASEAN NOW seeks to protect children and other at risk groups from exploitation on the internet. Any content that appears to be inappropriate or exploitative will be removed.

The forum would be removed, and perhaps another one would be opened for threads posted WITH TITLES IN CAPS.

somchai selling cannabis from the back of his pick up near my house. probably not licensed etc. table stalls on walking st. etc. things like that. any of these *businesses* without proper papers will be effected. hypothetically.

how many shops that have opened do not have the proper paperwork ? im willing to bet it is a pretty high number.

Prostitution isn't illegal in Thailand for over 18s. The soliciting and advertizing for it is.

Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act, B.E. 2539 [1996].

You are doing so by discussing Moderation, STOP now or this topic is closed.

Charlie, sometimes things are not clear and need to be discussed. i am sorry if i am breaking a rule here. just remove my post if it broke any rules. the initial idea is not to discuss moderation but how thailand will become risky or not for discussing something which was illegal then became illegal again. no offence nor provocation intended

and btw @CharlieH the rules i was commenting about on stoners post are, for me, the laws of thailand... not forum rules sorry this wasnt clear in my post... sincerely sorry

I dont see how being stoned would degrade the quality of posts,

As exemplified by this post image.jpeg.c39eb6a48e45dc97e8762dbe62acc915.jpeg

The stoners will have to buy their drugs illegally again and if they get busted.....hopefully get jail time (a pity they don't have the death penalty here)

Not just TV, but ALL-CAPS are not cool on the net in general. Worst offenders seem to be old fogies, headbangers and trolls.

Guessing this sub-forum would be archived and buried. Deleting it could cause the site issues with Google, although there could be special dispensation for blogs, fora 'n such.

If weed is made illegal it will be the end of the world as we know it!

"Reefer madness" will prevail, men will have to wear high waisted baggy flannel trousers with turn ups and short sleeved shirts with ties.

Women will have to go back to wearing those conical bras.

It is all to awful to contemplate.

I would have a beer to fortify myself but it is far too early!

But probably, everything will carry on as it did before...

Death to dope heads??? Some would apply that to pi$$ heads!

Worse case scenario is people would need to get a doctors note to buy and use weed. Even the weed haters aren't advocating it to be 100% illegal again.

mods........

what if cannabis becomes only legal for medical purposes. will the discussion be allowed to continue if that is the case ?

will be difficult to differentiate between what is considered medical use vs recreational.

i identify all of my cannabis use as medical.

i just commented on the prikpot ad suggesting that if they want to survive they should make a list of doctors available. i cant smoke anymore, but my wife does enjoy growing it

I thought that pirating using torrents is illegal and yet that is openly discussed.

I thought killing is illegal but yet every day there are new posts regarding murder.

I thought robbery/stealing is illegal but yet again another subject that is always discussed.
