It's a common tactic to claim homophobia is only about fear. Sometimes they might not know the real definition. But it happens so often that I think they usually do but act like they don't.

Yes and no.

Bullying combined with social media too often leads to suicide of the person being bulled. Schools should actively try to reduce it.

All pretty people get older. And most of them are a few years later not so pretty anymore.

But then there is the moment when they still think they can get everything, but they don't. Because they are suddenly not pretty anymore. And that is then a real problem for these people.

As a gay man I find it hilarious that many people put us all into a category where we are all like a stereotypical african american in the 1970s sitting on a porch eating fried chicken and watermelon on a hot sunny day.  

In 2023 in most countries nobody cares.  Overt affection in public isn't considered to be polite especially in Thailand and it's important to understand cultural sensitivities.  

Many people are surprised to find out that I'm gay and I don't care, many of us aren't overt, wear it on our sleeves, or hide it per se.  Fruit flies love to think of us in this stereotype and scream and cry for our rights and they are the worst of all if you ask me.  I wish they would put their glass of wine down and get a life.  That sounds harsh but it's the nicest thing that I can write about these middle aged meddling women.  

Do I go to Thailand because of some "gay bars" or hanging out with fellow gay people?  NO.  I go there for the food, and yes, the locals who are by and large friendly, and no, I don't go there to sleep around like some ugly fat buffalo.  Theres a reason STD's are still prevalent in those social circles.  

Thats all that I have to say on this matter.  Read it carefully, I don't care its 2023 and nobody cares.

You're thinking your example is an apples to apples comparison.  It's not.  There's a difference you're ignoring, Hummin.  It's rejection.  The trans person who changes from their biological sex to the opposite sex rejects their biological sex.  It's a main point of contention with the trans culture.  They reject their biological heritage and believe that their sex is determined by their mental state.  Big difference there, Hummin.

It's one thing to say, "Yes, I know I'm male but I want to be female."  It's quite another to say, "I was born with male genitalia but I'm not a male."

And then when they demand others to use there preferred pronouns they're attempting to force others to also reject their own biological heritage.  It's twisted thinking which demands that reality be rejected.  Live and let live.  I don't care what others chose for themselves.  But if you want to come after my kids and deceptively convince them to reject their biological heritage then do not expect me to be civil with you.

Hummin, we've interacted on another thread and from that thread I know you believe that all of the answers can be found in nature.  So I ask you, have you ever seen an orange tree attempt to produce lemons?  Of course not.  Nature is wise.  An orange tree understands it's nature implicitly and relishes and rejoices in it's own nature.  It does not refute what it is.  Only humans are capable of entertaining the preposterous idea that they should be what they are not.  It's an identity problem.  These people are so totally confused about identity that they no longer can even recognise their own true nature.

I once read a magazine for teens and they were trying to convince the teens that a sex change will give them an identity.

Teens are being manipulated, in my opinion.

The idea that a sex change will provide an identity ignores the fact that they already have an identity.  The logic is thoroughly mutilated.  And the solution using this mutilated logic is to mutilate the human body.  The question is never asked why they reject their natural identity.  Why?

 

It's no doubt a boon for the medical complex.  Life long care will most likely be required.
