Any gross/net income and/or operational expenses (apart from its PM lawsuit) one might find with a business operation?

Latest financial filings with the DBD showed 10M profit on 23M revenue in 2021. Filings for 2022 were submitted May 10th but haven't been published yet as far as I could see.

Good. This should finally dispel any fanciful ideas of democracy in Thailand.   Back to the status quo of military and 'establishment' rule like it has been for the last 100+ years.

Back to the status quo of military and 'establishment' rule like it has been for the last 100+ years.

Good news.

The public is beginning to see who is really the mastermind behind the attempt to prevent Pita Limjaroenrat, the Move Forward Party candidate, from becoming Thailand’s next prime minister. So far, only the ‘complainants’ are in the spotlight.

Move Forward suspects foul play in controversy over iTV’s legal status

Even saying that in public is probably enough to have the entire party banned, along with all its MPs.

The puppet master....

Hasn't this always been the case?

It's part of the electoral rules (even if in this case it's a grey area of was it/wasn't it operational) so the legal department of all parties contesting an election should avoid it. That's why I keep saying that MFP ought to have known pre-election that Prayuth would leap on this in his search for a reason not to relinquish power. With the EC, Senate and Judiciary behind him, I know (regretfully) who my money's on.

Agreed

The fact that the company is not currently carrying out any media activities is moot. The only relevant question , is the company still registered as a media company ?

In previous case of the printing business that no longer was operating , the court ruled that it was still a media business . Even though it had ceased to be operating any printing activities. The reasoning , the business had not official notified that it had ceased and thus could in future resurrect its printing activities.

Poppycock! The spirit of the law is so as to make it impossible for a media owner to use their mass media unfair advantage in a political campaign.

How does a non functional media company do that? It's a witch hunt and you know it. (Not a DT witch hunt I hasten to add).

What are the rules about making a coup and making new rules, and new constitution, to prevent democracy to be back in Thailand and keep dictators ?

True.  The tradition of slavery existed for most of human history.  That doesn't make it right.

UPDATE:

Move Forward To Take Legal Action Against Forgers Of Twisted ITV Report

By Thai Newsroom Reporters

THE MOVE FORWARD will definitely take legal action against those who may have been involved in the alleged doctoring of minutes of an ITV shareholders meeting with mere intent to keep Move Forward leader/prime minister-designate Pita Limjaroenrat from taking the helm of government.

Move Forward secretary-general Chaithawat Tulathon confirmed today (June 12) the largest progressive party will certainly take legal action against persons or groups of persons allegedly involved either directly or indirectly in the forging of untruthful content of the minutes of the ITV shareholders meeting held last April.

A video clip currently available for viewing on social media features Kimh Sirithaweechai, the ITV board chairman, announcing to the meeting that the firm has not run any business at the moment, pending a court verdict over a civil lawsuit.

But the firm’s written report on the minutes of the shareholders meeting had been evidently doctored to say otherwise and submitted alongside the firm’s financial status and corporate income tax form to the Department of Business Development last month.

I certainly hope they do, dark actors in the shadows trying everything to stop the will of the people from becoming reality.

The corrupt army Muppets who were wiped out at the polls will do all they can to keep feeding from the trough at the expense of the nation.

Well the video clip must be the truth... so who doctored the minutes... naughty naughty?

Classic Thai Lakorn (sub) plot-line.

That the formation of a new government is teetering on the question of what constitutes a media company is embarrassingly laughable. And it will get much, much worse.

I'd say you couldn't make this up, but I would be wrong.

These arguments are mostly beside the point. The original purpose of the law was to ensure an MP candidate couldn't unduly influence an election due to his control of media holdings.  Even if Pita owned the ITV shares they wouldn't endow him with any influence over the media.

The law has just become another way for conservative elite to undermine valid elections.

Maybe why Prayuth was savvy enough to NOT run as an MP candidate?

TV Channels 5 and 7 are both owned and operated by the Royal Thai Army, according to Wikipedia.

Hence all MPs and Senators with ANY relationship to the RTA should resign today.
