Phuket – A bar in Thalang was raided for the second time in a few months following anonymous complaints for allegedly opening past the legal closing time of 2:00 A.M.

A team from the Thalang Police raided a bar in Sri Soonthorn at 3:16 A.M (July 7th) after they received a complaint from a concerned citizen that the bar was open past the legal closing time.

How can this be allegedly when the police raided the place and arrested the bar owner .................LOL

It´s always allegedly as long as there is no final verdict or court decision. Does not matter how obvious it might seem. ???? Thai interpretation of English is not the greatest tool in the world.

This is a good place for me to ask, so 2am is a bar closing time in Phuket, what's the restaurant closing time...!? 

 

We have a restaurant in our soi that has music louder than any bar, and they blasting it until 12 or 1am sometimes..., they operate it like a bar really , with all drinking late and not eating much...!

Because until the police raid the bar, it is only alleged by the complainant.

Raided at 3.16 and it is reported that"allegedly " flouting the 02.00 Am rule

Which opening is illegal?

Depending on the size of the brown envelope it may have been a misunderstanding, he didn't understand that after the first "visit" that the brown envelopes were to be repeated on a regular basis.
