His sudden resignation today, which effectively dissolves the party’s executive committee, was announced by acting party leader Paibul Nititawan at the general meeting. Paibul told party members to remain calm, assuring them that Prawit will not leave the party, adding that the general meeting will choose a new leader and the new executive committee today. Talks among the coalition allies are still on-going to discuss their stance ahead of the PM vote on Friday. If MFP decide to break away and become the opposition because of BJT and CT joining the coalition, they will still vote for PTP's candidate.
