Pattaya — A foreign man passed away in a marijuana shop in Pattaya after drinking what the shop owner said was a cappuccino. The cause of his death is waiting to be confirmed by the forensic team but initially believed to be a sudden cardiac arrest.

The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan rescue center was notified of the incident on Sunday, July 30th, and rushed to help the victim at a ganja café located on Pattaya’s Walking Street at 3:46 AM. The Pattaya News has withheld the name of the café pending an investigation by the authorities.

Upon their arrival, the rescue team found a foreign man, Mr. Hamad Alblaiher, 52, of unknown nationality, lying unconscious inside the shop. Other customers at the café informed the team that the man had exhibited signs of shock before his collapse.

How many more deaths or mental breakdown episodes are required before this evil drug is banned again.

  • Why? Ganja doesnt cause heart attacks

  • You might want to do just a tiny bit of research before posting such nonsense.

They mentioned a cappuccino… we don’t know what else he had and the interactions therefore, nor of his medical history. But why not just jump to conclusions? Not much intelligence needed to do that.

Why? What's the mechanism? It certainly doesn't accelerate the pulse or raise blood pressure.

About the same number as grog would be my guess

The mix of caffeine and Cannibis would in fact raise your heart rate.

If a person has underlying issues, seems a heart attack could be possible.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Have a little read up about caffeine intake and possible heart problems before commenting.

The truth is that none of us know the truth. Not even the reporters know the truth.

But it seems he was a regular at the cafe, though not a smoker.

Where does any of your studies state that it can LOWER the heart rate?

Clearly didn’t prevent it in this case.

mental breakdown episodes

This is a question of risk tolerance analysis.

I don't think anyone came to Thailand hoping to bring with them Blighty's extreme risk aversion.. Surely most people came to escape it.

Whilst it is true that young men (around 20 years old), who have a genetic vulnerability to schizophrenia, can develop schizophrenia because of cannabis, this horrifying threat must be balanced against the reality of how safe it is for most people.

The man who died here was middle aged, far outside of the risk group for mental breakdown, and indeed he suffered from no mental breakdown. Perhaps a sensible balance would be banning cannabis from anybody under 25 years old.

So now it's a question of a heart attack and its relation to cannabis. It's important to keep these issues of mental breakdowns and heart attacks quite separate, or risk aversion will become the new culture of Thailand wherever Farang are found.

Nor proven it caused it....

Idiotic people are pointing at a cup of cappuccino here! Usual pothead nonsense as diversion!

Weed effects...

RIP Mr. Hamad Alblaiher.  Surely it cannot be that just the excitement of being in Pattaya's Walking Street at 03:46 induced a heart attack?

  • Popular Post

Probably had a heart attack when they gave him the bill.

Instead of posting links of whose content you don’t understand, why not explain your science in simple words? I guarantee that you cannot. Because you prefer to just look for things that agree with your fantasy based stance.

How about this? https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33483174/

It appears you do too,  frequent smokers usually have lost a grip on reality. ..... cannabis consumption is also tied to smoking, You will be claiming that has health benefits next!

PS How do  you know what I understand?
