Love the lights, stuck to the palm trees. Great wiring too. It's all very smart. Everyone's a winner. Please start on the next beach, Jomtien, Dongtan, etc. This idea has got legs.

Ya, those are horrible, got a bargain on used industrial site lighting..............

They are using 5000K lights

5000K lights are used in....

  • Headlight bulbs in cars as it gives better visibility on the road at night.
  • Garage
  • Workshop
  • Work Lights
  • Warehouses
  • Factories

5000K is subjectively described as cold white by some bulb manufacturers.

This light is used to light Parking lots..

You can dim LED lamps you just need to buy the correct ones

I think I picked the wrong time last week for a mini break in this area, it’s an obstacle course of trip hazards along there, or is it always that bad along this road.

hate hate LEDs...got my dim glass bulbs....LED is just too bright--i like the soft ...for the ladies! ????

If the LED lights are too bright for you, then by smaller watt-equivalent rated bulbs!

Or, even better, buy ones with variable brightness.

I think it's an improvement. As for the those who don't like it, don't worry. With the usual lack of maintenance many of the lights will not be working within a few months,

Id say the locals will shoot them out slingshots in less.

Super bright flood lights are also used in stadums and prisions......Where creating a nice atmosphere is not a consideration...

Sunglasses will do the trick

It is obviously important to you scuba. But to me they can have any lighting they want as long as it is bright ands I can see. From your picture I think I'm a couple of decades at least older than you, and I like nice bright lights at night so I don't trip over things. It also acts as  deterrent to the criminal element.

There is one of those giant 9 sprig light posts at the bottom of soi 5 Pratumnak, on the beach, it's not worked for a long time

Yep, shooting out lights will be fun for the yobs who usually hang around looking for a fight.

Time for the OP to dish out those sunglasses at night while strolling Beach Rd looking for night time some company

Not a good frequency for relaxation, I wonder if it'll keep people up for a few hours once they get home.

The old lights created a nicer atmosphere and there were not so many of them...

What would complete the project would be some high quality loudspeakers playing a well thought out and varied sound track of good music like Beach Boys - Surfer Girl, Aquarius - Let The Sunshine in, Micheal Jackson/Elton John - Don't Let Your Son Go Down On Me...:wai:
