I have several options for you:

1. Shangrila Hotel - Classic 5 star western and eastern breakfast buffet and it is NOT expensive.

2.  Caramellow - great choice of breakfast

3. My personal favourite: Manifreshto

4.  Hannah Hahn - Nice breakfast options but in Hang Dong.

5. L-Opera - Really good food though a bit pricey

6. Choquette - Similar to 5 but a step down in terms of bread but still good.

I went there over the weekend. Good food and good value for money. The guy did a pretty convincing replica of a classic American diner.

thanks I'll try Manifreshto next time since it's the least difficult for me to access. 👍

I just checked the cost for a buffet breakfast at Shangri-La, and it's 690 baht.  I don't think of myself as a cheap Charlie, but just the same, 690 baht for breakfast seems a bit too dear.

It is a bit higher than the 290 you'd pay in Manifreshto, but what you get is spectacular, a 5 star Western breakfast buffet that fulfills any and all demands. So for what you get it is fair price.

I'm pretty cheap and I wouldn't pay that except many once a year. Ok so it's good value for what you're getting but do I really need that much? I don't think so. 😂

Yah, of course, it is more for a birthday or special occasion. I would not go there every day either, it would get old quick.

I'm very happy with Ozarks in Hang Dog. 250-300 baht range. Location is in the forest and lovely. By far my favorite place so far and it's a straight shot 45 min ride from Samoeng which is very convenient.

I did go to Route 66 over the weekend and it was good (got a full English actually and had black pudding for the first time) but it was a boxed in air conditioned room off a busy road which isn't so nice.

Nobody care for Breakfast World in Mum Mueang? Personally I rate it but best bring an appetite as offerings are not small. Well worth a look if you're that part of town.

I think Breakfast World was mentioned.

Limeleaf is a cooking school as well as a restaurant. Only ever been for Sunday roast which costs around double what you would pay at the likes of Archers & Annie's the reason being they include a choice of literally 8 or 9 salads for starter on a self serve basis. Roast comes with a plate of literally 5 or 6 vegetables along with lovely roast potatoes & yorkshire. I normally venture out - it takes 40 minutes from centre of town - once a month and always enjoy.

Just to add you have to book ahead for Sunday roast.

Bake n Bite

Looking at some options today since I'm in the city and saw "Bake n Bite" at the top of the list. I'm in Mae Jo now so this is going to take at least 45 minutes to get to from here. There's lots of options in the city but it's so congested with traffic most places you can't get to unless you want to spend over an hour driving.

Looks reasonable though and a nice setting that isn't some ugly concrete box next to a highway. Worth a visit for that alone.

Today I went to Manifreshto this monring to check it out and got those two items. The menu was quite limited and I wouldn't give it a great review. It felt like a place owned by a Thai person who was trying to cash in on the expats in the area instead of being something more authentic. You could do worse but there are better options.

That's maybe the first time I've been to Nimman during the daylight hours in 10 year because I only ever go to visit the excellent Indian restaurant which is literally right next to Manifreshto. I'm going to say now Nimman is a totally fake and gay tourist ghetto. Together with the farangs it was packed full of Chinese too.

My last one I tried Route 66 appeared to be owned by an American and was much better with a more complete breakfast menu and bigger portions for the same amount of money. The clientele was almost exclusively retired guys with their Thai wife.

Ozarks and Food4Thought are owned by an American too and really stand out. I went to the new Food4Thought East over Songkran and it was pretty nice but nothing like the lovely garden and forest setting of Ozarks. They seemed to be having a problem with digital nomad squatters though and had to dedicated an entire page of the menu asking them to not sit around all day and waste table space. Go figure.

I only had the breakfast at Sausage King once and it's quite good too and a more complete menu also, thanks to being owned by an actual Brit.

Those mentioned are my favorite I've tried so far.

Looks nice on the pictures, thanks. Looks similar in presentation as Manifreshto.

Good point, 230 is too low for a buffet. That must be a single menu item I'm guessing.

The selection is huge, about 20 meat dishes including sliced ham, roast chicken, fish in breadcrumbs, three types of sausage, meatballs, veal.

Then about 6 types of bread rolls, sliced breads, cakes, fruit pies, fresh fruits, cold meats, 10 flavours of ice cream, assorted vegetables and salads, tea and coffee.
