Phuket – Three Chinese men have been arrested in Thalang for 168 days of overstaying.

Phuket Immigration told The Phuket Express that they inspected an area in Soi Mai Khao 6 in Mai Khao sub-district following a report by a concerned citizen.

Three Chinese men were found who were identified only by their ages, 34-years-old, 29, and 55-years-old.

They were found having 168 days of overstaying their legal visas to stay in Thailand.

G/f ?

Cure the problem of Chinese overstayers give them all a five month visa on arrival for free. Job done!

Another "concerned" citizen. How would this citizen know they were over stayers?

Much more "quality tourists" are expected this year from China and Kazakhstan with the new visa free arrival.

That's what I'm thinking if not where is the mother of the children? In fact in the linked article it looks like 2 females and one male.

It is a pointless excercise and there are possibly a few Thai's that realise this but they like to "think" they have control of us aliens, the jokes is on them and thats why they need new leaders like Pita to enlighten the clowns who currently make these rules.

Just a GUESS ??

Better go to India if you think you might overstay.

Quote

India's Department of Homeland Security specifies fines based on the extent of visa overstaying as follows: A visa overstay of less than 90 days attracts a fine of USD 300.00. A visa overstay spanning 91 days to 2 years incurs a fine of USD 400.00. Overstays exceeding 2 years necessitate a penalty of USD 500.00

Even with the overstay fine it will be cheaper than Thailand!

Not a guess. They didn't like them and were looking for a reason, and got lucky.
