They are confused about their gender

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but Japanese words can never hurt me.

I often use the confused one because so many posts are written so poorly that I have no clue what the poster is talking about.

And the sad one: Is it designed to be used as a comment as in, "That's a sad story," or "You are a sad bar steward"? Or something else?

3 sad ones. Lets see if there are 10.

So you are one of the ones who uses the laughing emoji when someone dies.

Now that is sad.

I prefer to use sad when there is a death or something horrible.

I dont give 'em but I think some give them to posters who are deemed as too serious or judgemental. If they feel someone is wagging their finger at them they give the sad emoji.

When strangers die I dont use emojis. Emojis are kind of silly. Using a sad emoji over a stranger's death is pretty much fake anyway. You dont much care.

I don't really have an issue with them. My posts are written clearly and concisely. My arguments are based on pure 100% logic with no underlying emotions to cloud the picture. If people give me a confused emoji they are probably trolling. If they aren't trolling, and are genuinely using the emoji for the purpose it's intended, they clearly lack basic reasoning abilities and deserve sympathy, not anger.

In reality I think a lot of people use it to say that they disagree with the content of the post, as opposed to actually being confused. As there isn't a specific thumbs-down or "I disagree" emoji.

I have an idea, why are the 99% of posters having to comply to stop upsetting the 1% that will be upset about anything anyway......

When informed that someone died I reply with the Lots Of Love abbreviation (LOL)

Clear and concise is really a bare minimum standard that people should aim for in their communications. I really don't think it's bragging to say I take care with my words. Although it doesn't surprise me that some people would decide to read it that way ????????‍♂️.

As for using logic and not allowing emotions to get in the way, that's just how I roll. If people see that as bragging then I guess it's a good thing, right? It would mean that other people were striving to do the same. And I personally believe the world would be a better place if more people were to do so.

(edit... I ironically mis-spelt the first word of the post!)

Too wordy. Not concise at all.

Being concise means getting all the required arguments made in the simplest way possible.

If you believe you can reword my post to be less wordy without losing any of the content then please go ahead; I am always willing to learn and improve.

I just posted a factual reply to an  opinion post with quotes from reliable sources and a link to said source.

I excluded the name of the poster from the screen shot out of respect for the poster, but I am sure I know  who gave the "Sad" emoji.

And I wonder what in my post made that person sad. , was it the  opinion post was proven wrong by my reply?

IMO there should be only  emojis, "I agree" and I "disagree"  everything else is childish . If someone finds a post funny, they can easily reply "Very funny" such statement aids the conversation, an emoji adds little.

I would like to see more emojis. A thumbs down or a middle finger emoji would be nice.

It would be great to have the system block the user from posting for 24 hours if he got 100 thumbs down in a day.
