Well, it's his restaurant, he can choose who stays and goes.....

A restaurant is a PUBLIC place and Pornthip has the right to visit it, unless that restaurant is a PRIVATE place (club, membership card, etc.).

Are is entitled to not serve her if he has valid reasons to do so, but not serving her because personal reasons is not a valid reason.

I don't know what to think. She's entitled to her political views as much as her opponents are......BUT.....isn't it nice to see one of the untouchables humbled in public.

Yes, and please explain how she is entitled to occupy the post of "army appointed proxy senator", who voted against the will of the people? There is nothing appropriate about her life, or her work in the senate. She and her fellow proxies are human abominations. They deserve more scorn and humiliation, not less. Bring it on. Kudos to the Thais who stand up to these people of dishonor.

She never claimed to be a democrat did she? No, she was appointed like the rest of the Senate under an undemocratic constitution (like the UKs).

Look, your team lost, grow top and get over it. She is as entitled to her opinion as you are to your.

Well, it is the shop's owner to decide if/who he serves and who not. Obviously the hairy senator has had not only friends for decades and Pita's (temporary) eradication off the political stage has been yet another bump on Thailand's road to a 21st century democracy.

If, what this "Ari Alexander" did reflect the passive opinion of millions of other Thais (and apparently it does) then they might - likewise - want to resort to "vote with their feet", stand up and push for clarification on many unclear elements in Thailands political system.

Is it newsworthy on this platform? Well, I leave that up to the distinguished reader; the Khunying however could, most likely, not care less - been there, done that!

I am not familiar with Iceland Law but in my country, restaurant is in a public place, but the business is owned by a private entity.  so the private can accept/reject anyone they want, however if its discriminatory its a different law, eg no women, no particular religion/race

A restaurant is NOT a public place, They are private premises where the public are invited to visit on the understanding they will pay to eat a meal and follow the rules of the establishment. A private business can restrict access to almost anyone the owner or manager chooses for almost any reason.

Were she not told to leave by the fashion police!

Being in the company of loud and abusive hair, wearing stolen clothes from a charity shop and displaying yellow teeth??

That photo of her displays a lack of having a 'good side'

Sad

Political views are fine but when somebody is put in such a position of power without any form of election by the public and then uses that power to help overturn the will of the people then they must be called to account and shown for what they are.

Not in Thailand...

She may be entitled to state her opinion, but she is NOT entitled to dine out in Iceland! Go home woman. Go back to where they are afraid to show disdain for who you really are. A monster, that is who.

That’s more a reflection of how nasty and lowdown the Thai political scene is and the retribution he would have to face from the shattered egos.

Thai politicians don't have shattered egos, they have very fragile, slightly bruised egos and will bring down the dogs of war on anyone who questions their questionable decisions.

Consumer or discrimination law as well no doubt .

Demanding a customer to leave the restuarant for political reasons may not comply with  law in Iceland .

Nor, I suspect, would 'hurtling' to his place of work and posting on social media whilst driving. And, it is later reported he is not the owner of the restaurant but a chef. I hope he washes his hands before rolling sushi.

This is a fantastic development. I have been saying from the beginning more people should shame these highly corrupt, rather evil army appointed senators. And their entire families too. I have no issues even with shaming their children in school. The kids should know who their parents really are. The should know their mom is a corrupt monster and not a decent person.

In the video clip, the male chef said he was informed that the senator who failed to show up to vote for the Move Forward Party PM candidate was in the restaurant.

“Go! Get out! You don’t belong here… We don’t welcome you.”  and “She’s a god d*** senator. Get out of here. You’re corrupt. Go!”

Brilliant stuff. The people might need to take charge now. These senators need to be declared enemies of the state. They are essentially committing treason, at this point. A list of their names and photos needs to be circulated. The people need to call them and their children, siblings, and parents out at work, at school, at restaurants, and in public.
Shame them into submission.
Embarrass them to no end.
Make them conscious of the incredible amount of damage and erosion to democracy they are causing, and let the army know we are not buying your power mongering and greed. Remember when Cha Cha said "I will be cooperative, and honor the results". Just another of his thousands of lies to the people.

There was a call for boycotting all senator owned businesses, but did anyone ever compile a list?

Are you very vocal and aggressive in the country you came from? Why shame the children? The children do not play a part in their parents political inclindation. Why shame them?.

Would love to know who paid for her trip was it from government budget or from her own pockets

Her own pocket. Already been clarified, though of course she has missed votes and time at 'work'.
