Three favourite movies

Featured Replies

American Beauty & Fight Club

Those two movies changed my life.

I even got the same deal from my employers, a years wages not to go back.

Number 3 would be Unforgiven (Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman).

if you think Unforgiven is just a "Western" then you know absolutely nothing about cinema.

Star Wars is a "space opera"

Spiderman is an adaptation of a superhero comic book.

Harry Potter is an epic fantasy.

Trainspotting yes !!!

What was the big guy in No place for old men !!

Javier Bardem played the part of the killer hunting for the money, Google his name and you will find him in some other great movies, like sicario

"In the Heat of the Night"

" 2001 - A Space Odyssey"

" The Shawshank Redemption"

Honorable mentions:

The Green Mile

Silence of the Lambs

A Beautiful Mind

Dr. Strangelove

Unforgiven

Dirty Harry

High Noon

Enemy at the Gates

Schindler's List

Mad Max

The Color Purple

Lethal Weapon

Gladiator

Braveheart

The Big Sleep

Australian:

Wake in Fright

Kenny

Malcolm

Shine

Trying to be original;

1. Apocalypse Now

2. Full Metal Jacket

3. Lawrence of Arabia

Honorable mention to The Godfather 1 and 2, but both have been mentioned repeatedly.

Hard to pick just 3.    To Kill a Mockingbird, Spartacus, The Great Escape, if just three, but,  The Shawshank Redemption, The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, Braveheart, The Color Purple, Schindler's List, The Pianist, How the West Was Won, Raiders of the Lost Ark,The Ten Commandments, The Thin Red Line, Ben Hur, Saving Private Ryan, Unforgiven, The Green Mile, Godfather 2, Goodfellas, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Whiplash, Papillon, Forrest Gump, African Queen, Terminator 2, We Were Soldiers, Railway Man, The Birds, Psycho, Apocalypse Now, Leon the Professional, Alien, Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, The Shining, hard to not keep adding so many.
