Seems like a useful feature for anything that was uploaded,  but becomes an issue.

I'm far from an expert, but (as far as I know) any minor change or edit to the image/video would change the hash. This would only pick up exact copies of the original.

Can someone more knowledgeable confirm?

So if you make another website with same promised functionality, asking users to register their email/phone/whatever, and then actually upload their photos/videos, that would create a vast library to blackmail pretty much everyone gullible enough to believe website advertising...
