They solved it by putting up a large wall in Belfast apparently.

Worked in berlin as well. Maybe the Yanks should have built a wall with stone instead of chicken wire. Even bigbash can scale that.

Then again, the Great Wall was not so successful in the long run. Og course, more than a wall or a Maginot Line is involved.

I thought this was going to be a thread about AN contributors. Should have been, as nearly all the comments made so far are abusive or a complete waste of time.

We can't get along because a very long time ago people began drawing imaginary lines in the ground, recognised only by humans - not animals, weather or nature - and then said if you step over that line we'll kill you.

 

And too many humans are violent by nature. They thrive on it. Look at all the movies involving death and destruction. And almost all video games are based on the same. People find violence exciting and an adrenalin rush - until it happens to them. We're a very weird species, and basically a failed experiment by some super intelligence out there somewhere.

Not worth it to you or me because of the costs of lives, misery, heartache, devastation etc, but to others, the $'s is the only thing that matters to them, unfortunately.
