Phuket – Phuket Immigration inspected a tour booth in Kata after they were notified by concerned citizens that a Russian was allegedly working illegally selling tour packages.

The Phuket Immigration told the Phuket Express that on Thursday  they inspected a tour booth which is located near a hotel on the Kata Road in Kata.

They found that the tour booth is being operated by the Ivan Durian Tour company with a legal tour license.

A Thai staffer, Ms. Kanittha Maneesard, was present at the booth. After that an unidentified Russian man showed up. He is the same person that a concerned citizen reported to the immigration officers.

His name is MR. IVAN PIGO, a Russian national. He has a legal temporary permit to stay in the kingdom along with a business visa which will expire on November 21st, 2023. He also has a legal work permit to do the job, said police, in an administrative and management capacity....so all fine with Ivan Durien🤣🤣🤣

Read the full post he was perfectly legal.

So IVAN not as terrible as the "concerned citizen " thought.

Why are Thais so paranoid about a little competition in business by foreigners.

Could it be because they feel threatened due to their inferior business abilities.

What about all the Russians who are renting properties from Thai owners then subletting them out for double the money that is a form of employment and could be classed as tax dodging on the huge profits they are making yet the waste there time on some fella selling a tour of some sort
