Two students suffered bruises yesterday when the wooden floor of an aging school in Phanat Nikhom district, in the eastern province of Chon Buri, partially collapsed, throwing about 30 students onto the flooded ground a metre below.

Thirty Mathayom 1 (Year 8) students were attending an English language class when the floor of the 47-year-old Phanatpittayakarn School suddenly gave way under their weight.

Teachers rushed to extract the students, two of whom were slightly injured and taken to the district hospital for first-aid treatment.

The school’s director said that he had intended to repair the wooden floor after the final semester.

It's not America, thank goodness.

North America or South America?

If it was in the USA it wouldn't be used for a school but rather a typical home in the Detroit area.

The most exciting English lesson the school has ever had.

I was wondering if they now know sone new English words , EG  ' Ow that hurts just a tad '. Or even 'ow Bow Locks '.

Hundreds of UK schools partly closed for repairs due to dodgy concrete mixes used in construction. Portakabins giving schools that retro post-war look.
