I've noticed so much antisemitism recently in the news. I wonder why? Is it just me?

it's the vocal minority who are antisemitic

Doesn't just about everyone hate others nowadays?  Lots of hate against Asians also. Many Europeans hate those from other European countries.  And, look at the U.S. people hate those from other political parties.

Hate is very powerful thing in people's minds.  Makes them in some way feel superior and better then others.

I can see it getting much worse and probably not better at all in the future.

Is there much antisemitism? Or is it just the anti-ism everyone talks about?

I'm anti pigeon, hate those little flying rats.

3 reasons off the top of my head:

1 - if the other guy is the bad guy, then that automatically makes you the good guy

2 - people are easily brainwashed by media, and most media is not even reliable. nobody knows who started what and who did what.

3 - everyone hates everyone

Antisemitism is centuries old, the need for a scapegoat, to blame to hate and to accuse an

ethnic group of people for their own failings, a favourite outburst of hate and loathing that

bring certain groups of people together in protests and marches of anger themselves

not even knowing or even meeting a Jew in their life :

This might clarify on the subject of hate in general.

humanity is a jealous society. everyone who is successful is envied and hated.

Get called an antisemite every day, I wear it as a badge of honour, easy to get called it just post on any thread in "The War in Israel" category against Israeli's and they queue up like flies round excrement.

Because it's divisive MSM news.  If you believe what they tell you, then I guess there is a lot.   If you go by personal experience, mine, I never seen or heard it, in my lifetime.

I know there's one religion that has fanatics, that think members of other religions shouldn't be allowed to exist.   But they hate all religions other than theirs.

I'm probably thought of by many, and been called that on tis forum - anti-Semitic, since I don't care for a lot of Israel's politics.   That's just an opinion, of gov't, not Israelis, which a few family members are Jewish.   So I find that quite funny.

Since there are so many more Christians, I say there is more anti Christian sentiment, than Jewish.

This topic is an invitation to Jew haters to vent and play denialist games.

Anyone really interested in this ancient hatred can find thousands of credible historical sources.

Baptists?  Because I know a few like that...

Seriously, though.  The key word there is fanatics...  Every religion has fanatics.

That's why all the Jews left Europe for the New World across the pond .... oh wait, they were Christians/Puritans.

My bad .... 😎

Considering the number of Jews vs Christians, it safe to say, more Christians have been hated than Jews.   Even within their own faith, which is kind of funny, the Catholic vs Protesting feuding, though sadly, deadly at times..

Yea ... but they rock the house on Sunday, and got to love that.

And they usually dominate the interfaith basketball leagues.

Religion, what a wonderful topic for those interested in it, for me there all a "con trick" to keep the less informed under thumb, if in doubt follow the money that's all it is about.

I haven’t noticed any particular anti-semitism except some particular reactions to the invasion of Gaza:

- calls to boycott local franchises of international brands that also have franchises in Israel

- people thinking that there is some benefit from driving round with a Palestinian flag on one’s car and sounding one’s horn.

IMO certain people confuse anti zionism with anti semitism, perhaps deliberately as it fits their narrative.

Even some Jews are anti zionism, and some non Jews are zionists.

I think that describes me, an anti Zionist.   Israel was wrong, was the aggressor in the 6 day war, violating the treaties/borders established, and have been wrong ever since in their expansion and land grabs.

At that point, IMHO, the USA should have cut all ties with Israel, but instead, did the complete opposite and has done nothing but perpetuate the problem by support Israel's illegal occupation of land beyond their borders.

Why the area is the sh!t show that it is today, and will remain so, forever moving forward.

I'm just anti religion. I don't care what fairy tale book they want to read out of, they are all fake. The biggest religious bigots are religious people hating other religions.

Really has nothing to do with religion.  For the past 56 year Israel has waged a war with it's neighbors and expanded into their countries, taking, settling & occupying their land.

Ignoring UN resolutions and treaties along the way.   In the modern world, that shouldn't be acceptable, and wouldn't be without USA's support.

Imagine if a new Hitler arose in Germany, and Germany invaded and started taking, settling & occupying land of it's neighbors.

I'm not seeing any difference.  Hate their politics and the idea of my past tax $$$ going toward the bloodshed and hardships Israel causes to their neighbors.

People like you that this world doesn't need, People like you led 6 millions Jews to the ovens and gas chambers,

haters and misguided one track minds who will only see what their hateful hearts want to see...

Gee, didn't see you reacting that strongly when Russia was accused of genocide against the Ukraine,

or these kind of opinions reserved for Jews only?...

Throughout history Jew haters always have an excuse.

Jews are too poor.

Jews are too rich

Jews are stateless.

Jews have a state.

Jews are too weak.

Jews are too strong.

Jews stick to their own kind and look weird.

Jews blend in too much and fool us.

Jews are too religious.

Jews are godless.

This list could go on for many pages.

It makes no difference.

The social disease of Jew hating persists regardless of what Jews do throughout the ages.
