Pattaya waterparks: ID required to get in

I find the locker arrangements at the water parks unsafe. Will I be admitted if I show up only with my Thai driving licence and digital copies of my passport?

Did you try to contact them to find out?

Geeze, the original antagonizer.

The OP is asking here for a reason, I reckon its a fair question to ask here.

I would not take my passport nor a wallet stuffed with cash either.....

I can't speak for all the waterparks in the Pattaya area, but over the years I've been to the Pattaya Waterpark in Jomtien several times,  never had to show any form of ID.  In fact I never even brought my wallet, just a pocket full of cash and my telephone and pool related items.

Edit; If you find the waterpark locker arrangements unsafe, doesn't that mean you've been in the parks before? Did you have to show ID then?

As we all know "safety first" doesnt realy work here. So they want to be sure that if you die in their waters they can identify you.:-)

I think, and properly so. that he thinks his valuable documents are not safe in the lockers.

Since when has a passport, license, or any form of ID , been a requirement to enter a water park ?????

There was a recent article in the UK about thieves taking credit cards from gym locker rooms and going on a spending spree. Personally i would never leave anything of value or importance in a public locker.

I went with my passport so there was no problem getting in. I'd hate to have to leave my passport in those tin boxes again.

Yes and guess what? They told me no problem just bring your passport, after which mutual comprehension dropped to zero.

I might take my work permit to a waterpark to get the 'local' price, but wouldn't take my passport.
