Trump is trying to get out of paying the full bond. How did you miss that?

  • Trump is finally reaping what he has sown over the years he must be exhausted from all the winning 355 million on this one then 88 million for assaulting Jean Carrol I forgot how much he had to pay in

  • It's not political at all. It's called the law and nobody's above it.   In fact, this proves how good the legal system is...more to follow.

  • is that a Dem voting Judge by any chance?

Well, that's 2 minutes of my life I will never get back.

So, March 25 is the date by which Trump has to post bond for his appeal in this case. It's likely that Trump's lawyers will file multiple appeals to try to reduce or eliminate the bond amount, the more appeals, the less likely that Trump can come up with the money.

Do you have a link to prove that NY State judges get their instructions from Joe Biden?

@Yellowtailseems to exist to troll and post disinformation. No idea why anyone would waste their time doing that.

I wonder if he thinks that Biden controls the Supreme Court?

trump's silly appeal to reduce the bond to a paltry $100 million, which should be chump change to a multi billionaire (sic) was rejected by Judge Anil Singh. trump now must post the full $455 million (which includes interest) by 25 March (coincidently the date the hush money trial gets started), or else there can be no appeal. Done. Finished....at which point NY AG Letitia James can begin seizing trump assets, even out-of-State assets (I wonder if she'll seize Mar-a-Lago, since Florida and Palm Beach Country zoning do not allow it to be used as a residence, so trump cannot claim sanctuary if he faces a court ordered seizure).

trump also has only until next weekend to post the $83.3 million bond if he is to appeal the 2nd defamation suit penalty. If he fails to pay or post, E. Jean Carroll can begin proceedings to seize trump's assets.

Here’s Who Could Loan Trump $540 Million
Feb 28, 2024, 06:30am EST

via FORBES.com

Being Donald Trump is getting even more expensive. The former president is a billionaire, but now he owes roughly $454 million (and counting, with more than $110,000 in interest accruing per day) to New York State after a judge found his companies guilty of repeated fraud. Trump also owes some $88 million to the writer E. Jean Carroll for sexual abuse and defamation verdicts against him.

On Wednesday, after Forbes initially published this story, an appellate judge granted Trump some interim relief, allowing him to seek loans from banks chartered or registered in New York. The judge, however, did not let Trump off the hook for the $454 million in fines and interest.

Trump really needs to appeal the $455 million fine - such verdicts are often significantly reduced during appeal.

If Trump can't post the appeal bond, it's really going to hurt.

Ad Hominem - I'm not a Trump supporter nor even American but I know injustice when I see it - and, yes, I am highly educated.

Rest assured Bob, that my post was not specifically aimed at you, so therefore not "ad hominem" as you suggest, but to state that charges against trump, stealing from a charity for example, inciting an insurrection, and others, are an "injustice" throws some doubt on the last few words of your post, and I don't consider that to be ad hominem.

Perhaps to backup your post, what injustices do you consider have been levelled against trump?

I think he read it off a sticker on the gun rack of the pick up truck in front of him at the traffic lights the other day!

Donald Trump's lawyers notified a New York court that he's not able to find an insurance company willing to underwrite his bond to cover his massive civil fraud judgment

So, Trump is unable to raise the money. It appears that Trump is not as wealthy as he claimed.

Surprise, surprise, surprise.

Well, maybe the judge will cut him a break. After all, Trump was very nice to him during the trial.

The due date for the bond is March 25. I wonder what foreign government Trump will turn to for his appeal money?

He has just asked the court for special treatment (please don't make me post bond) because he admits in writing to the court that NO LENDERS WILL GIVE HIM THAT KIND OF MONEY

Isn't that the same court case where he claimed he had 400 large in cash on hand?
