What astounded me at the time: Medical insurance always was an obligation for obtaining an O-A Long Term Visa (from and overseas Thai Embassy)....they started to check if the insurance was still valid for 12 more months, for those re-entering on this multiple entry visa, and at the same time requiring it for those obtaining a retirement extension, in Thailand, on an O-A Permission. Yet extend a regular Non-Imm-O, no insurance obligated. Didn't hold water!
