PM heads to Chiang Mai – today’s #1 most air-polluted city

But first, the current Thai PM, Srettha Thavisin, is heading to Chiang Mai today on a scheduled visit of the northern city. And, depending on the way you see it, the situation couldn’t be worse, regarding the northern Thailand air pollution.

 

The prime minister arrives on a day, not the first, when Chiang Mai is rated in the respected air pollution monitoring app, iqair.com, as the #1 most polluted city in the world!

Corporations do not want to clean up the air, they're making billions by fouling the air. All the government or provinces would have to do is crack down on sugar companies and the air would improve by 70% overnight, this time of year. 

 

One simple move, yet do they do that? Do they enforce any of the existing laws? Absolutely not, they do not care for the people one iota, the common man, us, our neighbors and friends and family, we mean less than zero. 

 

Sretta. The do nothing man.

One that is completely bought and paid for by major corporations, hold on a second that sounds like nearly every country in the world. 

 

The again China has had a fair amount of success in cleaning up Beijing, so I suppose Thailand could clean up Bangkok if they really wanted to. But they don't seem to care, one iota.

You are so wrong already at the incipit. The vast majority of fires are not agricultural but in forests. This you would know if you actually wrote about things you experience instead of the usual rants from behind your keyboard. If you lived in CM you would also know that, while not denying that the air has been horrible the last 2 days, so far this burning season has seen a much more active national and local government effort and overall it is better than in previous years.

You are the one who has no idea about what you are talking about. Cambodia, Lao, Bangladesh, Myanmar, East India. .The entire region are on fire. These people are worse than CORONA VIRUS, they are more stupid than street dogs. This is today! Go to the site and click on the fire and see what is burning if you are not a complete imbecile. And almost all forest fires have started because of farm fires.
