Paetongtarn Shinawatra has apologised to those who were unhappy with her Instagram post, showing her father, Thaksin, playing with her children in a swimming pool.

 

She claimed she just wanted to show the happiness of Thaksin and his grandchildren, adding “I did not mean to offend anybody with my post. I apologise.” She then insisted that she would cease posting.

 

The post featured Thaksin, who is released on parole from a prison sentence he was serving for corruption, in a swimming pool at his Chan Song La residence with Paetongtarn’s children.

 

Many people expressed doubts about Thaksin’s true health condition, as he was paroled due to old age and “serious illness”.

 

The Corrections Department’s parole regulations stipulate that a prisoner must be over 70 and meet criteria for sickness, including being unable to perform daily tasks without assistance.

Certain Officials Could Possibly Be Charged With Misconduct Over Thaksin Case

CERTAIN GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS ranging from hospital doctors and the head of the Corrections Department to Justice Minister Tawee Sodsong could possibly be hit with legal action on misconduct charges over their contentious handling of de facto Pheu Thai boss-cum-convict on parole Thaksin Shinawatra.

 

According to Move Forward MP Rangsiman Rome, certain doctors in charge of treating Thaksin at Police Hospital, Corrections Department director-general Sahakarn Petchnarin and the Prachachart-attached justice minister could possibly be charged with perpetrating misconduct and power abuse, given their alleged failure to conclude that the de facto Pheu Thai boss had not been “critically ill” as earlier repeatedly claimed by themselves.

 

Instagram pictures recently posted by Thaksin’s daughter/Pheu Thai leader Paetongtarn Shinawatra featuring the de facto Pheu Thai boss-cum-convict on parole joyously playing in a swimming pool with his grandchildren obviously manifested the fact that he had been by no means “critically ill” as earlier falsely claimed, according to the opposition lawmaker.

 

Tawee categorically dismissed sustained allegations that the authorities, especially the Corrections Department under care of the Ministry of Justice, had used legal loopholes in favour of the de facto Pheu Thai boss-cum-convict on parole and maintained that the deposed prime minister had been “critically ill” as earlier officially reported by the Police Hospital doctors and department officials.

It is a very common quality and characteristic for a lot of the world's billionaires to be tone deaf. They just don't understand the life of the average working class person, and they don't understand how upset people get when their billions allow them to live above and beyond the law. But this is how Thailand rolls and protects it's influential people.

Swimming pools are used by physiotherapists to assist patients with mobility problems. It is easier for patients to stand and mobilise in a pool. Note that he is holding flotation devices in both hands. Probably to stabilise him.

I am happy that she showed reality.

So, let's see if the authorities react and throw the criminal back into jail where he belongs.

But somehow, I guess many of us will be unhappy that the not so sick criminal is allowed to live free and in luxury.

You have been given the chance to come home and live peacefully with the grand kids. Distance yourself from politics, and you would be able to live happily without any controveries unless you have other motives.

And the people were expected to beleive that Thaksin was crippled with serious illness. Just shows that the authorities treat the population as mugs. Lock him up where he belongs to serve his proper sentence!

I made no excuses for anyone I merely stated a fact that using a swimming pool is far easier than trying to walk on land and hydrotherapy is used the world over to assist the weak and disabled. You might look at what I said logically rather than in your emotionally skewed manner. Using a swimming pool does not mean that a person is not disabled or weak hence most of the arguments on this thread are invalid. The article does not state that the dumbells are the childrens toys. It says that people are accusing him of them being the children's toys.
