Mr. Thomas was informed that if he continues posting potentially harmful material about Thailand online, he could face prosecution under Thai law.

 

Nevertheless, a senior officer from the national Tourist Police headquarters stated the existing evidence would be forwarded to the Immigration Police for further action, implying that Mr. Thomas has already violated Thai law.

It might be time for this country to evlolve or  grow up and say "the opinons expressed on this youtube channel  are not true".  Also, in terms of defammation in other parts of the world actual damage(s) muut have occurred.  What is the actual damage when a nobody with phone rants about a country? What next? Ban youtube? 

 

"Sticks and bones will break my bones but words expressed on a insignificant youtube channel will not hurt me".  Or just a rebuttal video.

This is a joke right??? The other news item on this same page is about how a complete criminal is taking a walk down Bangla road after spending only 4 hours of his 9 year sentence in prison because he was so sick and this guy makes a post at its big news.

Thailand should have posters at entrance points telling all coming in that freedom of speech is not allowed in Thailand. Any critisism of anything may result in legal action That should be good for the image.

There's only 3 videos in his main videos link but several more in the 'live' section.....including one saying a major tv station did a highly edited hit piece on him comprised of little snippets designed to get him booted out of the country.

 

He has notably launched a new business in this Pai area and there's some people who don't like him but I have a feeling they might like get their hands on his business.

 

Now that sounds like Thailand to me

So, all good. Another Brit has learned to come to Thailand and respect the country and it´s way of behaving as well as dealing with things. If a person can´t do that, then they have no place in Thailand.
