On Tuesday, chaos erupted in Soi Buakhao, Central Pattaya, when an unidentified Scotsman found himself in the unfortunate grip of a bizarre accident.

 

The trouble began earlier that night at a local bar. Heavily inebriated, the Scotsman had an altercation and was left to navigate his way home with a friend. The night took a dramatic turn when witnesses reported seeing the friend push the Scotsman into the street, directly in the path of an oncoming car.

 

Police officers arrived to find the injured man lying on the road, his condition worsened by his intoxication. Rescue workers made valiant efforts to assist but faced a challenging task as the Scotsman became increasingly belligerent, hurling abuse and resisting help.

 

Matcha Sirirom, who witnessed the incident, shared her account with authorities. According to her, the friend’s push was the catalyst for the unfortunate accident. As the vehicle struck the Scotsman, the friend hastily fled the scene, leaving the injured man alone and confused.

 

 

Matcha quickly called emergency services, who arrived swiftly but struggled to manage the agitated victim. Despite his resistance, paramedics eventually transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

 

Local authorities are now thoroughly investigating the incident. Their primary focus is to identify the friend responsible for the push and to uncover the full details of the events leading up to the man's injury.

 

This incident has left many questions unanswered about the motives behind the friend’s actions and what exactly transpired that night.

 

As the investigation continues, the community awaits answers and hopes for a swift resolution to this unsettling incident.

No brawl, just a dodgy friend pushes his dodgy friend into the path of a car, it's what they do when drunk

Inebriated Scotsman, isn't that a tad redundant? And, not sure why they calling the other guy his "friend". Maybe just another inebriated Scotsman lending a hand so to speak?

People underestimate how dangerous alcohol is despite one horrific incident after another involving alcohol making the news.

 

Getting drunk in a bar full of strangers or frienemies is the worst thing you can do.

- Alcohol lowers inhibitions, so you are more likely to insult others or get into fights

- Alcohol can bring up repressed anger

- Alcohol makes you lose your capacity to defend yourself or think clearly

That's a dangerous combination and people need to understand that getting drunk in bars is a high-risk activity

Come on now,do you really think the Thai community are awaiting with baited breath to see what 2 drunken non Thai people have done in a fit of intoxication and alleged bar brawls.

Why the headline "Drunken Bar Brawl..."  it makes it sound like there was a massive drunken bar brawl flowing out onto the streets causing one guy to be hit by a car

 

Original Pattaya Mail story headline is "Scot struck by car after leaving bar in Pattaya", much less dramatic 😆

Just read what you have took the time to write.Study it carefully then hang your head in shame.

This happened in Soi New Plaza between Soi Buakhaw and 2nd road. The report says the Emergency services arrived quickly and that is a lie. It happened opposite Maew burger and I had time to order and eat my burger and chips before the ambulance arrived.

It happened before I arrived but Maew did not mention that he was hit by a car only that another farang had decked him.
