Trump found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

After a rigorously fair and thorough trial, 12 good men and women have found Donald Trump guilty on 34 counts relating to election fraud in 2016. Judge Merchan, though under persistent pressure from Trump's appalling behaviour throughout, has been exemplary in sticking to his task.

Trump presented only 2 defence witnesses - why was that ?

Trump did not testify in his own defence ???

Who can doubt that in truth, justice has been done ?

I'd like to see Judge Merchan give Trump a 4 year suspended jail sentence but one day in jail for each of the 10 contempts of Court committed during the trial.

The gag order should also be extended to cover continued gratuitous insults to Merchan, Bragg and others involved.

Trump - finally brought to account after a lifetime of seedy, fraudulent and disgusting behaviour. I cannot understand why anyone would consider voting for him in November.

Time for the Republicans to ditch him and bring another Candidate forward.

bob.

He just got convicted of 34 felonies. So asking about prison is appropriate.

Unless you are a member of the Trump cult.

Next year, after Trump loses, and is convicted at his other trials, what are you going to do?

Maybe join the Putin cult?

Yes, nothing like a hero in an interesting story. Even vigilantes get a prize sometimes

Thanks for reminding us of that...

Under no circumstances should Trump be imprisoned until after the election.

No.

Before his conviction he was making repeated threats against the prosecution, families and by extension the jury. He incited the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection wherein 5 died and threaten killing the VPOTUS. If not jailed immediately that is the right of the judiciary for a 34-count conviction, Trump will elevate a call for violence to create chaos intended to keep him from incarceration.

Murderers, serial killers, serial rapists, violent crimes.

Trump will certainly not be part of nightmares that victims of these types of crimes have to endure.

No jail for white collar criminals, eh?

All I'm hearing from the faithful is, "whaaa, what about other people's possible crimes".

How sad.

Absolutely. And now the voters can decide.  Trump, warts and all, or Biden, warts and all. Compare their records as president- it is a rare thing for voters to have that opportunity.

Dem convicted by a jury of what use to be the party of Jfk!

Ain’t my peers or his!

 Pending Appeal !

It certainly wasn't a jury of his peers, as far as I know there were no fat, sweaty, cheeseburger stuffing, adulterous, lying, cheating, narcissistic, grifting multiple bankrupts on the Jury bench.

I know relatively little about the US legal system, but I doubt whether that is grounds, of itself, for appeal.

Makes no sense arguing the law with this crownd of slavering fascists and TDS bufoons. Every legal expert worth his salt agrees that this will be reversed on appeal. Read some of the comments here and ypou will see a depth of ignorance of the legal system in America that will shock you.

Here is the bottom line: The TDS crowd will have no hesitation in using the law against any Trump supporter.

It’s not what your ‘legal experts’ have to say on the matter.

It’s what 12 good citizens decided.

As for Trump's conviction, most Trump supporters will see this drama as politically motivated. Even people undecided might conclude they don't like their choice of President being dictated by courts/juries. I don't see this harming his chances, might even help them.

Please do not skew from the narrative...

I was replying about Trump"subverting the wished of the American people. The lies of Biden are a blatant example of that....

"So what was the objective of Biden with all his lies and lies and lies about unreal memories of his younger age? If not to subvert the wishes of the American people? "

When you lose the election by around 8 million votes, but pressure Raffensperger, send your goobers to the Capitol to disrupt the official certification, and engage in a fake elector scheme, I believe THAT is trying to subvert the will of the people in a democracy. Biden did not due that, nor did HRC in 2016, nor any of the 44 Presidents before 2016. Only one defeated person did that.

The convicted felon has carried his Stop the Steal lie for several years now.

So 7 people liked your comment     that is somewhat remarkable      the Third world  Banana Republic was on 1/6/21  not yesterday.  You are guilty of the delusion and the nonsense.   "the media"     I watched the video of a whining loser incite an attack on the US Capitol  then as CIC he did nothing to protect it.   That's third world BR  BS

Not a single news reporter or political commentator from across all sides of the political spectrum thinks that he will see see the inside of a jail cell.

So when the next 3 trials are held, if Trump is found guilty of any charges, that's virtually a life sentence for him.

Theoretically he could be sentenced to life now. Max 4 years for each charge, so 34 x 4 = 136 years.

Well, we agree on that, 8 millions, some kind of magnitude.

"Biden did not due that",

Well yes we agree again. Biden is kind of a smaller scale liar .

Amazing that Trump could be convicted 34 times, and the Trump cult members post about everything but Trump's convictions.

Once again we see there is not bottom to the pit that is MAGA, there is only how low MAGA is today.

When the need arises they simply go lower without so much as a blush.

In this case almost a thousand years of juries deciding guilt or innocence is attacked as ‘banana republic. Court system’ and why is that necessary?

Because novacova will not accept Convicted Felon Trump is, just like the rest of us, subject to the law and beneath the law.

Utterly ‘deplorable’.

Aw, is your Messiah being held accountable for his blatant crimes?  That's so unfair. I really feel for you. I suggest moving back to 'Murica to fight for justice. Oh, and don't forget, your self-proclaimed billionaire buddy needs your cash donations, stat!

I followed the news enough to know about the other cases and it seems to be likely that none of them will go to court before the election in November. I don't know who, except from Trump lawyers, is responsible for the delays.

The corrupt, biased, rookie Trump appointed sycophant judge Aileen Cannon in the South Florida Classified Docs slam-dunk guilty verdict case...if not for her bias, ineptitude and stalling tactics. :coffee1:

Lots of adjectives in there.

Some people could certainly use more bad adjectives against Biden, starting with how the borders are managed....

But thanks for the try....
