Shorts are not appropriate for gentlemen in the work place or at service outlets (e.g. bank, government offices, hospitals etc.)    I wish more farangs wore long pants as the site of their varicose veins and crepe paper skin is unsettling.

Where I live the mosquitos are extremely racist.  They don’t think I am worth the effort at all. I’m whiter than sour cream.  They just bite everyone else.  I thought I was sweet, I was wrong.

Many years ago an old friend 'Sir Peter' was drinking at "The Winking Frog" in Bangkok, and he got talking to a British guy, who looked familiar. Turned out that he had seen him (or a photofit of him) on Crimewatch UK the previous week before heading to Thailand. The guy was 'on the lam' as our American friends say! (I think they guy had alluded to, or hinted at something like that.)
