:cheesy:  Tommy was written as a Rock opera by Pete Townsend in around 1969 , he was the guitarist for The Who,  It was nothing to do with Elton John.

Elton John covered the song "pinball wizard" in the 1975 film version

Oh, I didn’t realise they were gay

Is this what this forum has become?

A poster wants to know who the old expats of Thailand idolized (or lusted after) in their preadolescence (childhood).

Never had any and still don't, everybody has an agenda and feet of clay. One person that I admire and still do is David Attenborough but that isn't the same as a role model.

As a kid that liked hockey, there were no other sports heroes.  He had style, was not afraid to do what was necessary for the team, and was awesome at killing penalties and face-offs.

Unfortunately, he let the fame and drugs take over, but he still was and is a hero for everything he has done since.

Bruce Lee and Superman.

Who laughed? 😀 I was being serious, and they still are idols, esp Bruce.

WB's treatment of Cavill, who was originally overlooked in favour of Brandon, who himself was then dumped in favour of Henry is shameful... probably because he's the wrong gender now or something as equally trivial. Much like Disney, who is actually running things there?

I guess your version of fun has been honed on Tik Tok, along with your spelling and grammar.

I've been called worse; you have an imagination much as I would expect.

I'm not British and would never think of dressing like that.
