Trump Rally Shooting Alarms Ex-PM Thaksin Shinawatra

Thailand's ex-Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has expressed his concern over the recent assassination attempt at a Donald Trump campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

Thaksin, who survived several assassination attempts during his tenure as prime minister, plans to reach out to Trump via a message on X, hoping for his safety and deploring the use of violence in politics.

Thaksin's remark came in the wake of troubling news that broke around an armed individual attempting to disrupt a political gathering where Trump was speaking. Security personnel promptly intervened, ensuring the safety of everyone present, including Trump.

However, the incident has stirred up significant anxiety, reflecting on global political tensions and the charged atmosphere surrounding high-profile public figures.

Reflecting on his experiences, Thakin emphasized the gravity of such threats and the urgent need for steadfast security measures. He pointed out that while Thailand is predominantly Buddhist and generally maintains a non-violent ethos, his own experiences indicate that no individual in a position of power is entirely safe from such extreme actions.

The incident has sparked a wider discussion about the adequacy of current security arrangements for public figures worldwide. Thaksin advised that vigilance is paramount, and preventive measures should be adjusted in response to rising political tensions and growing public dissatisfaction, reported Thai Newsroom.

As investigations proceed in Pennsylvania, this event may prompt a reevaluation of security protocols at political events, especially with the looming U.S. presidential election.

    the whole thing was staged.

  • Thaksin could engineer another planned assassination attack to garner some sympathy -  another near death experience he could brush off in this effort to remain valid.

Surprised he hasn't had to dodge another attempt since his return.

Hehe... Who are they fooling? Violence is the only way they react to any kind of confrontation. As seen daily in the news. Usually it does not involve one on one altercations though. So it is safe to say that when violence occurs that many people are eager to jump into violent situations and contribute their share.

I think and correct me if I am wrong an assassination attempt on Trump is somewhat different to a disruption of a political gathering. Had this been successful and it so nearly was I reckon the US would be on fire today.

Whatever happens this place will always remain neutral.   Don't want to upset potential tourists from coming.

Weak and wimpy.

So, how should one respond to "growing public dissatisfaction", Mr. Thaksin and Mr. Trump?

Be less of an  a$$hole and lower your own corruption index, maybe? Nah, too much work.

Tony must be in the USA if he's close enough to touch Trump

So the person in the crowd that got shot in the head and died was staged? The shooter that was taken out. Staged? Two other people shot now in hospital. Staged?

Exactly.

Boeing plane bombing, March 3, 2001, real or just a warning to the T Man, one person died because of it.

There are more than a few villages missing their idiots!

Pig eyes reaching out to copper top, how nice.

They are quite similar in some ways...   still above ground.

That is never going to happen unfortunately.

This has probably won the election for Trump.

Republicans love a hero.

Even trump's own people don't like him much. I've been waiting 10 years for this to happen.

From reports to Newsmax's Alex Salvi and Axios' Juliegrace Brufke, it has been stated that officials mentioned Trump was struck by pieces of glass, possibly from a teleprompter that broke due to bullets. Yet, the details are still unclear, as Trump himself has described the incident as being hit by a bullet.

This is far more likely than the bullet story. Yet, Trump will milk this one and make himself into a near martyr and a hero.

Hmmm… just a matter of time before someone gets to Trump , i suspect

It may have handed him the Presidency.

Isn't Thaksin irrelevant by now? Even the people that I know from Issan, who used to support him, dislike him deeply since he sold his soul and party out to the Army. So who cares with this man has to say?

Staged meaning a setup. This man was allowed with a gun to get that close. A counter sniper waited to shoot until after the shooter shot. A counter sniper would have taken out the shooter as soon as he saw him with a rifle that close to the ex president. The shooter came as close as you could without connecting on a fatal shot, meaning his shot was just a tad off and intentional. Lee Harvey Oswald was a setup from all we can see, and eliminated very soon before he could talk. This seems like the same kind of situation. I'm thinking this won't be the last.

Of course it was!  He has lied and connived his way through every other dirty trick in the book, not much left to garner sympathy from.

Why is it so hard to find sane men in US politics?  The Tin Man is disintergrating in front of our eyes but is still on a par with Trump??
