He can't trade in Mr Vance as that would be a massive admission of failure...he's stuck with him.

 

He has no new attack lines that land.....his only plus is that there cannot be anymore skeletons in the closet.

 

He is doomed, bar a monumental cockup or revelation related to Harris or Walz......

Why not just take a few of the policies and reverse himself entirely in an effort to add supporters? His base will not care.
