I have just received the results of my latest blood test by email which I get monthly 

I have been worried sick the latest one

It's says 

Lipase test -which is apparently Pancreatic 

5th July /24.  1 aug     26 Aug 

56.                   63         64

 And normal range for this LIPASE is 

(8-57)

Mine is 7 over !

I googled to this ,it says possible pancreatic disease !!!

 

Does anyone have this disease ,I know the Apple guy had this

Could be only two or three weeks with symptoms like that. 

What size are your shoes, bagsy I have them if they are size 45.

A lipase level of 64 is not consistent with pancreatic disease. In fact it falls within many lab's normal range.

 

In pancreatic disease the levels  are in the hundreds, even the thousands.

 

What your doctor told you is correct.

Considering his posting history in the health forum, I am not sure OP is trolling or serious. 

If he is serious (I doubt it),  he doesn't need more lab tests, x-rays, MRIs, whatever. These would just confirm his behaviour and make him find more imagined problems. 

If he is serious he needs some counseling.

As one and only test it's not enough.

See a gastro-enterologist.

There is no hard and fast 'normal' for most of this stuff.......watch out for it increasing dramatically rather than an absolute value.

I saw a gastro earlier this year for my colonoscopy 

He couldn't find any problem including the ultrasound of my liver and kidneys that I got done and put the kidney pain down to my gym training 

 

I have been getting reflux lately, someone privately messaged me to say this could be due to the pancreas ????

 

My doctor says I don't need a endoscopy and said the blood tests are normal ?

He tells me keep taking the Nexium tablets  !! 

Why should I ?

 

 

The doctor had been very nasty to me lately telling me no more blood tests until 3 months has passed and not to come every week 

 

Strange these people ,they are not trained to get diseases before it happens,they seem to want to wait...wait until something happens.

 

I will find another doctor again it seems and can't wait until I get back to Thailand to get the Full health check

This is why I need an immediate Endoscopy!

I have been getting reflux the last few weeks ,the doctor saying take Nexium tablets 

I need immediate Endoscopy,but the doctor says he won't give me a referral ,says he believes nothing is wrong with me and if I want to go another doctor!

 

I went for a throat check earlier this year at a hospital they put a camera in my nose to my throat found nothing they said 

 

I also got a ultrasound of liver kidneys 

 

 

I believe it may be something in my pancreas 

I may have to wait until I get back to Thailand to see Dr Olivier ,that's if I last that long 

 

I will get a full health check including heart etc

I go to him too Dr Olivier  , you need to be checked immediately, please don’t fool around, I heard there’s pain in Upper abdominal region , I think that goes for Thyroid also , it’s very hard to diagnose in early stage , but if they find it , you can Live a long Life,  But it’s very hard to detect , Good Luck  and keep us updated Please

To reduce you acid in your stomach, which might reduce your reflux. (How many times a days? 10, 20, 30?)

Btw, how many docs you intend to visit? Until one will assure what you want to hear?

Have you actually told a doctor that that you have this pain. From what you have said you could very well have a disease but I think it’s a bit higher up …

You seem to be displaying symptoms of one, when the doctors have constantly told you, everything is normal, and totally had enough of you badgering them.

 

If dissatisfied, go to another practice and seek a second opinion, it's that easy.

If your golf club membership is due ask them if you pay monthly instead of for a year.!!

OP perhaps get your gall bladder checked also. It's close to the pancreas and is also involved in digestion. Some people get gall stones. I had a pain in this area for 6 months...saw a specialist, he pushed and prodded. Said it wasn't the gall bladder. It was most likely a muscle /rib cartilage strain and got better after a while.
