Can't Come In Without A Boarding Pass!
I lost mine on the plane somehow last year. They asked for it and I couldn't find it. I did produce all the other docs. Tourist visa print out etc. They didn't ask me for my return flight although I had one that I cancelled after i arrived. TIT .. maybe more ways to make some tea money off the incoming herds. It was late at night, not busy. No problems but, as is the case with a lot of immigration business here rules are not strictly followed and the difference between policies at immigration entrance let alone immigration offices is quite a bit of a puzzle that keeps expats in constant frustration. -

Two Teens Injured by Ping Pong Bomb Outside Convenience Store in Yala
"The first victim, a 14-year-old male, had suffered a severe laceration to his left palm, with his left thumb having been blown off." And how did this occur? Maybe he was the one that owned said bomb? If one plays with fire.... -

Wife transfers from dependent visa to Retirement Visa in case I pass away before her.
Yeah, with online banking -- have her do it fast, in case the bank finds out about your death and freezes your account (thereby she'll have to rely on a many-month probate process). Supposedly, she's supposed to go the probate route. But, especially if she's the sole beneficiary in your Wiil, there's no aggrieved party to press charges. Another thing you might do is make her co-signatory on your account. This doesn't mean it's joint, so there's no affect with immigration. But, it allows her to access your account, so if you're terminal, she can tap your account perfectly legally. And, if you're dead -- where, supposedly, co-signatory status is no longer in effect -- this erstwhile status just adds further credence to her bonafides, along with her being sole beneficiary in you Will. Only the lawyer mafia, out a probate fee, will be concerned. Too bad. -

Today I met the first farang returning home because of exchange rate
He said, he loves it here but cannot afford it anymore. As the pound constantly on its way down life for him becomes unbearable expensive. At present under 43 and with the bleak prospective of sliding further he is forced to pull the brake. He was on his way back home. I wonder how many more have given up.... -

Illegal Work: Russian Employer and Russian Electrician Arrested
Maybe the BiB should set up a sting operation outside Global/DoHome/Mega and the like. Bound to get heaps of foreigners going to their vehicles carrying tools. These tools could be used for jobs reserved for Thais! Unbelievable. I use to help my missus run her guesthouse. General maintenance.... plumbing, small electrical repairs and general upkeep. She was always worried someone might report me.
