Just to clarify….all of that is just in your opinion?

It avoids the usual chorus of "needs a link", so yes, my opinion.

Google’s advertising algorithm is doing its bit.

Videos of the debate are now appearing with advertisements for care homes in the margins.

So this thread started 1 hr ago, and debate not even close to over, but has Harris winning, or has Trump against the ropes :cheesy:

Classic leftist reporting :coffee1:

If the debate ran 90 minutes, than it was over only 30 mins ago.

You posted that 1 minute ago, but it was over an hour and a half ago. Perhaps you didn't watch it live.

Apparently enough to post and tell the readers that you're not interested. LOL.

Thanks for pointing that out, as nobody would have figured that out.   Anyone following my political interest, should realize by now, I  have not, and don't even vote.

Easily the stupidest sentence ever uttered by Trump...

"I have concepts of a plan"

I mean this debate was not even close. Harris should probably be charged with elder abuse.

In your dreams.

There was, and we are discussing it.

And yes, we know you would rather we did not.

No no no, I need a chuckle now and then, especially for non Yank political experts.

During the debate, Trump stated, "In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs. The people that came in, they’re eating the cats."

Did Trump mean that the non-immigrants in Springfield were eating dogs and the immigrants were eating cats? Does this mean that Trump thinks it's OK to eat dogs but not cats? I know he likes McDonalds but this dog-eating thing reveals a whole new side to Donald.

Apu eating Snowball? Somehow can't see it.

Harris was well rehearsed, at not answering a question directly. I'd say she did well. Did she win the debate? Wait a few weeks for the polls. That's what the talking heads say.

Didn't watch it at all, and no plan to, especially if on a MSM moderated platform.  What's the point, as bias right from the start.

I can see plenty of vids of him talking policy, and his past experience of being president vs her vids of word salads.

I know which one I would want to represent me .... but ... I also know which one I hope gets appointed.   And they definitely aren't the same person.

Just read a report that the Trump team accidentally released their feedback on how the debate was perceived by voters BEFORE the debate…….you couldn’t write this stuff.

I think that very reasonably goes under the heading of willful ignorance.

Taylor Swift won the debate and possibly the election

I love the attempt to get the cat lady vote back with the claim immigrants are eating your cats.

Quite the opposite, and I'm pretty sure it went just as I would have expected.

The Washington Post reported soon after the debate ended, “The Democrat’s campaign plans to announce after Tuesday’s debate a desire for a second meetup with the GOP nominee before the November elections, according to a person familiar with the plan who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe internal deliberations. The decision to request another debate was made before both candidates took the stage Tuesday night.”

If I may attempt to put a positive spin on what was quite obviously a train wreck for the (R) opponent.....

I believe he did wrap up the old, bitter, angry white male curmudgeon demographic.

I thought it was a bit boring. Trump being Trump and Harris not answering the questions.

Trump's final statement was strong. All of this "on day one", and "new beginning" and "we have to do better than this" from Harris when the Dems have been in power for 12 of the last 16 years and she has been VP for the last 3.5 years is pretty stupid. Trump highlighted that and that's what will stick in many people's minds since the rest of it was pretty forgettable IMO.

Assuming from the first sentence of the OP, this will be just another Trump bashing thread.

ENJOY

Why don't you start a Harris-bashing thread?

IMO opinion it was as "contentious" as watching a cat sleeping. Boring more like. It was so gripping I didn't even bother watching and did something more useful, while just listening to it, just in case something did happen. Conversely, during the Biden debate I was virtually glued to the TV.

In other words, you enjoyed watching Trump wipe the floor with Biden, but couldn't bear to see Harris doing the same to Trump.

Indeed. When she has done nothing much for 3 1/2 years it's a bit much expecting us to believe she will be a different person if elected

Voters vote for their future not the past.

Trump being Trump is the problem in the debate.

Harris has to remind Trump numerous time that he is running against her, not Biden.

He said it was his best ever, not that it was a great debate. Going by his past debates it is a low bar.
