Shame a bag didn't come out the chute and knock some sense into her.

When I read the headlines I thought she was lying (not telling the truth). 😂   Maybe laying would have been a better word to use 🤔

It was likely some sort of TikTok challenge. People are doing very crazy things these days to impress their online followers. It is an indication of the state to which  contemporary culture has fallen.

We are no longer moving forward as a species.

She was just pratting about.. nothing more to see here than someone having a laugh at no-one else's expense.

True but what if she did have some sort of accident in the process of having some infantile fun. Whether the injury occurred on the conveyor or getting on or off it. I am sure she would expect the airline to compensate her .

Childish act. Usually, it's children who like to ride on these conveyers.

Lying on the belt is a strange thing to do, they're not the cleanest place for that activity. Baggage handlers, sniffer dogs and others walk on them and all sorts of spills from luggage could contaminate them.  Why not just lie down in the toilets?

(I worked in airports for years)

Like to throw a bag tag on her and head home.

Me too

Isn’t the conveyor the proper place for a baggage awaiting pickup?

I ‘ll see myself out.😆

What lies was she telling? :shock1:

Or...did they mean "laying"?

Throw a luggage tag on her and claim her as yours.

Who says what a bag has to look like?

A video of a Thai woman lying on a baggage conveyor belt at Krabi Airport has gone viral, drawing heavy criticism on social media.

The incident, which occurred yesterday, September 16, was shared by the account @RedSkullxxx with the caption, “Can you lie down like this? I saw it on Instagram, it seems to be a Thai at Krabi Airport.”

The clip shows a woman in a white long-sleeved shirt, shorts, and a hat, lying comfortably on the conveyor belt. She appears to be enjoying herself, resting her chin on her hands and swaying her head back and forth. The video, posted on the former social media platform Twitter, now X, has sparked a significant backlash from netizens.

“Are we allowed to do this in an airport?” one user commented, highlighting the clear signage around the baggage area prohibiting sitting on the conveyor belt. Many echoed this sentiment, calling for stricter enforcement of airport regulations.

“Content like this should be punished by law,” another user remarked, criticising the woman for creating disruptive content. The sentiment was widely shared, with many calling for police intervention and fines for such behaviour.

The criticism extended to questioning the safety and appropriateness of such actions in a public space, with comments describing it as ignorant and inconsiderate.

One user pointed out, “It’s like lying in the middle of the road. It’s common sense that it’s dangerous and inappropriate.”

There were also concerns about the potential dangers involved, such as the possibility of getting injured by the machinery.

“Where is the safety awareness? This is trashy content,” a comment read, expressing shock at the lack of safety considerations.

The incident has prompted calls for the relevant authorities to investigate and take appropriate action, reported KhaoSod.

So what were the airport staff and security doing to stop her nothing.

How is this any different from riding or driving on the wrong side of the road? While also illegal Thais do it every day.

Leave the poor lass alone.

People are just jealous they don't feel free enough to do things they want.   Who hasn't wanted to do the same, or, who hasn't done the same.  I know I have, ridden a conveyor belt or 3 :cheesy:

Life is short ... ENJOY IT

And go toilet and not wipe bum and pick nose and eat.

Such a minor issue. To those 'netizens' who, apparently.  complained, LIGHTEN UP.

Yep, this silly story, unworthy of an article, is disrupting my day when I woke up to read about the latest disaster in the Middle East.

In an unrelated story, a tourist has reported that he cannot find the old bag he had picked up on Soi Six and taken to Krabi.

😂😂😂

Think I would take laying on the conveyor belt any day over laying in middle of a Thai road . Even if all the traffic lights were red I would still feel 1000% safer on the conveyor belt !

Like a big sushi rail. Come to daddy.

Ha, ha ha

That brought back memories of the naughty hidden bar on Soi regional land, they had naked girls laying in front of you on the table with sushi spread over them.

Meanwhile in another big news story, there was a guy who stole a chocolate bar from 7 Eleven. Police are still hunting down the culprit..

Of course she was. This is not worthy of headline news. Netizens "outraged" again.

Just fine her B500 and, "don't do it again, or you will be in trouble"
