Pattaya's Sawang Boriboon Foundation received a report of a foreign tourist being assaulted on Pattaya Beach, near Soi 13/4. Rescue volunteers were dispatched to the scene.

When they arrived, they found a group of three Indian tourists, one of whom was bleeding heavily from a gash above his left eyebrow. His friends were attempting to steady him as he staggered, calling for assistance.

Despite his injuries, the man refused medical aid and requested the police. Rescue personnel contacted Pattaya City Police, who arrived shortly thereafter. The man's friends pleaded with officers to find the attacker and escort the injured man to a hospital.

Ms. Aey, a Thai woman in her mid-twenties, recounted the events leading up to the incident. She and her friends were sitting on the beach when the group of Indian men, who had been drinking nearby, approached and asked for a photo.

The women agreed initially, but as the men continued to take turns taking photos, one of them allegedly put his arm around Ms. Aey’s friend, touched her stomach, and made an attempt to kiss her. This provoked her friend's husband, who struck the man in the face, leaving him unconscious on the sand.

Bystanders recorded a video of the incident, which shows the Indian man lying motionless on the beach.

The video captures comments from witnesses who stated that the men had harassed the woman, prompting her husband's reaction.

Pattaya police have since advised the injured man to file a formal complaint to pursue legal action against the attacker. Authorities are investigating the matter and will proceed with legal measures as appropriate, reported TOP News and CH7 News.

Some guys come to Thailand and they just have this bizarre preconceived notion that all women are available, and that's anything but the truth.

Well said my good Thai lady friend who lives in the UK many years and divorced from a Brit but lives there comes back occasionally and taught me how some guy in daylight just went up to her in the street and followed her enhance breasts she is small and slim and after she unloaded an unholy mouth full of English street abuse at him he ran off in amazement but yes they seem to think it's all there for the groping no doubt get into a lot of trouble some of the times

Is Pattaya the only place in Thailand the tourist board promote in India ??

Every story of a robbery or assault involving Indians seems to always happen in Pattaya .

And it's not in their nature to anything but courteous. They don't assume people to be bad. He was assaulting the girl and the husband had a right to defend her. Case closed.

More holes in that story than Swiss cheese

Why didn't the Indian man marry the Thai woman, give her a flammable Sari, then push her into a fire, as is traditional in India? 😃

If she had gone back to the Indians room with him and his ten mates in the first place this wouldn't have happened.

Mmmmm... If some stranger, especially drunk, asked to take a photo, with my wife, or her friends, I would tell them where to go, so this story seems strange

They got the treatment for their misconduct. Whether, it's a working lady in bar/ street or a normal woman... nobody can touch a woman inappropriately...

Every person deserves respect...

Dumb ass Indian.

It's very hard for me to believe that an Indian drunk Indian stoned Indian would harass anybody more like a Thais  love to harassing them.  I've never seen Thai give so much abuse towards a nationality. If you don't know what I'm talking about please get a flight to India or stand around when the flights arrive from India and watch how the airport staff and immigration treat them.

I was thinking along the lines of them doing it to their own women but point taken. Foreign women going there I would not recommend.....heck been there a few times myself for work and would in no way consider going as a tourist.

Yep.

Here in Silicon Valley where there is YUGE Indian population, things like this happens quite often unfortunately.  A Indian male will try to stop a woman on a walk or jog, engage in some stupid conversation and then try to kiss her -or immediately go for her breasts.

Some dumbshyte tried it on my married neighbor who ran screaming back home, and the police found him down the block trying the same to another woman.  Turns out that he'd been molesting women all morning.

They come to Pattaya because it's cheap and most of them have little money.

When I was in Goa many years ago, Indian men on the beach would approach unaccompanied Western female tourists especially those wearing bikinis asking for a photo with them. They thought putting their arms around the female was acceptable, was surprised the number of women that allowed this, they just thought the men were being friendly. Later on I travelled extensively in India, some of the stories I was told by Western women about travelling in India especially on buses and night trains was pretty shocking.

Yes, I stand more corrected... I recall quite a few tales of how Indian women suffered being groped on crowded buses.

I lived and worked in Delhi for four years and don't recall ever going outside of my compound with a western lady without being bothered by locals. Especially outside of the city at temples etc, we'd be followed around by hoards, some of them "accidentally" brushing past the ladies and touching them. My blonde daughter who was in her early teens was like a magnet to them. The old "can I have a photo taken with you" was a regular request and an excuse for touching. It even happened here in Pattaya when my daughter was visiting, only this time I wasn't so outnumbered and managed to chase them off. Not all, but an awful lot of them need to develop some self control.

Those Gupta boys never learn...this is not India...you cannot touch Thai women here like you abuse them back home in India.  It will turn out well for them.

They are lucky the husband only hit once.

Agree.,,,Thais are very friendly to tourists.  I see this as a nice gesture from the lady and those effin more runs took it to the next level.  Anyone touch my wife and it is game on.
