A vote for Trump is a vote for Trump. Anyone doing that is a disgrace to my home country, the USA. I just can't understand why anyone would support Trump, but it seems as many as 40% or 45% of my fellow citizens do. I'm ashamed of that.

As a non-American I have no direct interest in the forthcoming election other than hoping that, whether Harris or Trump wins, the USA relationship with the UK will be friendly and firm.

A vote for Harris is a vote for Harris. Anyone doing that is a disgrace to my home country, the USA. I just can't understand why anyone would support Harris, but it seems as many as 50% or 55% of my fellow citizens do. I'm ashamed of that.

What benefits? I consider Trump a total disaster. Another four years of Trump (or more, since if reelected, I'm sure he'll never allow himself to be removed as president) will completely destroy everything I respect about the USA. Of course, as I said above, his reelection would mean that a large number of voters (not the majority) have voted for him. That means that the USA has a large number of people who think like Trump or have been duped by Trump. Either way, it's a sad, sad situation and indicates that the USA has truly become a corrupt and morally depraved country. 😞

Trump will at least TRY to stay in power by changing the rules. The way he changes the rules would be, of course, illegal, but he might do something like declare that the election process in the USA was corrupt and declare a national emergency, which would give him, as president, emergency powers, one of which, he could claim, was to postpone the elections. The only glimmer of hope we would have then is that Trump would be in his mid-80s by then, overweight, etc., so he should not have a long time left.

I agree with your list of corrupt institutions, but I strongly believe everything would just be worse if Trump were reelected. He would just work to increase the corruption for his own interests.
