British Man Found Shirtless and Agitated on Pattaya Roadside

Call the Brit embassy on the spot, have them pick up the junkie and deported next day on their expense.

That's a bit harsh, the guy might have had a stroke/heart attack/heatstroke or some other medical emergency while out jogging. There's no indication of any criminal activity taking place.

1994 I met German beggar at Kao Sarn Rd. Few weeks before that he was decent tourist, had an argument with policemen, they beat the sh*t out of him near the river but he survived. Yet his mind didn't recover and he became a "village idiot".

jeez the guy has either suffered some sort of breakdown, had his drink spiked, or been beaten up .  Now , according to many on here he must automatically have some sort if international criminal record which should have barred him from travelling

This forum and some of those who frequent it is becoming a joke

Have you got a criminal record? many are worried they start deporting those

How do you know many are worried? It sounds like yet another assumption. You know. Someone tells someone something and it's instantly a fact because they for some reason trust this person's opinion about others. Are you asking him if he has a criminal record to put anxiety in him, thinking he might have one and would be worried?

Thailand urgently needs "tourist scavengers" to locate and isolate scum like this. At Ratchada 4 almost every second day some "agitated foreigner"

You want rid of tourists who come to Thailand to get wasted on drugs and alcohol?  Do you think Thailand can survive that kind of financial hit?

iIf it was about 4:30 a.m., this sounds like normal activity for Pattaya.

Par for the AN course.

Currently, we do not know why he was found in this state. Was it of his own making? Was he spiked? Was he attacked? We don't know.

Does this make him better or worse than your fellow countrymen who were recently arrested and accused of fraud but had most certainly committed a crime by overstaying their visas? They are criminals regardless of whether the fraud charges are proven.

These Swedes....deport them all I say - nothing but criminals. 555

Ops! You don´t read much news, do you?

First it goes 200 Brits on 1 Swede if we read the news in Thailand, which you apparently didn´t.

After, I was also one of the first posting about the Swedes and their bad behavior, even as I am a Swede, I can se when my countrymen are bad. Also something you seem to have problem with, as I assume you are Brit judging out of the reaction and protective B.S.

So, you better start counting. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5........67, 68, 69.........129, 130, 131........185, 186, 187.......200 Brits.    PING!

Of course its just an assumption, and he will have to try a lot harder than that to make me anxious. Nothing more ridiculous than foreigners calling for other foreigners to be deported,  its laughable

Now here is a non muscular guy.  I like the strange humor of

the Brits, as well enjoy drinking with the Aussies and Kiwis.

Too many drugs and not enough beer, makes some people

behave strangely like this chap. I wonder if he will find his shoes?

Why is he scum? Scum is someone who condemns without established facts. How do you know he was not unwillingly drugged? Jeffrey Dahmer was a mass murderer in the USA. He drugged his 17 victims before murdering and then dismembering them.  One of his  victims was 14 year old Konerak Sinthasomphone. He had escaped Dahmer and was found on the street wandering drunk and in a confused state. He was returned to Dahmer by police after Dahmer convinced them that Sinthasomphone was 19 and drunk, and the two were in a relationship.  That's what an assumption like yours results in.

A criminal record check on entry would filter out a lot of these low life

It is impossible for Thailand to undertake criminal record checks of visitors to Thailand. Your demand would necessitate  Thailand having access to the criminal databases of other nations, and Thailand does not have it.  Only people on international registries that specifically file with Thailand  can be identified.

How do you know this person is a junkie? Did you check his bloodwork?

Overmuscled guy, probably a body builder. No surprise the lad was acting erratically with all the junk these people inject themselves

If you think this man is over muscled you must be in awful physical shape or embarrassed by your own physique. The man has a trim physique with defined musculature suggesting he visits the gym or performs manual labour. His body is in proportion. He isn't over muscled.

How do you know he is not ? If by your standards it is normal behaviour to walk around so scantilly clad, to agressively shout at people, shout at the rescue workers, try to flee on a railroad track....it could then be a bit useless to argue further. Have you fully read the article ?

In the civilized world where the rule of law is respected, we have one common belief, a presumption of innocence. The burden of proof is on you to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the man is a "junkie". Your arguments are unfounded and a suggest either intentional trolling or are the imaginings of an ignorant individual.

Plausible explanations have been provided, with a possibility that the man was having a mental health episode, or was drugged or had another type of health crisis. You have no idea if the man is a junkie, and yet you label him as one. You call him scantily clad. The man's shorts are no different than what other people wear, and if anything are actually longer. The manner in which he is sitting hiked the pants up, but it is clear that the shorts are appropriate. Yes, the man was in an agitated state. So what? Some manifestations of mental illness, of sugar imbalance, of seizure and stroke can leave a person in a  terrible state too. If he had been involuntarily drugged, he might have ended up this way too.

Removed an insulting post and replies to it.

People wanting long stay visas can provide a home country criminal record check, we don't have to problem solve it here

Jumping to conclusions and assumptions are high here, along with prejudice against certain nationalities, and seeing it's a forum of mainly retired expats, it simply amazes me what some say.

I'm wondering if you realize just how many criminals, especially white collar types, that there are without a criminal record.

What they don't realize, or not care, is that every negative remark against any foreigner makes us all look bad. I'm not for sticking up for any bad behavior, but it's best to remain silent as not to supply ammunition.

Are you the appointed farang policeman? And you missed my point. And what should be done with the thousands of corrupt and criminal locals here?

no doubt you have a criminal record, those types always get defensive, the dodgy locals is something the Thais can sort out

Like I've said before, many times. Some assume they know people in an online forum. You don't. It isn't being defensive when you don't like seeing adults acting like teenagers. And again, it's none of your business what other foreigners do unless it affects you personally and just by posting negatives about them, it makes others look bad, including yourself.

If the foreigner is of the same Nationality as me, I believe it does have an affect, and I can opine.

Yes, but again, if it's negative comments, it still makes all foreigners look bad.
