In regards to your homelessness issue.

In America some fall upon bad luck or circumstances out of their control but recover.  Various reasons.  They’re not the problem.

Now the majority have chosen this lifestyle due to getting enough from the government just to get by, load the pipe, get their MD 20/20 and live in their tent cities doing whatever they please and not answering to society or worse , “The Man”.  They have no desire to work or improve their lives.  Personal choice.

There are many like that in the UK today. I was talking to a lady last week who has a homeless daughter.  Heroin is her God, and has been for twenty years. There is no lie she will not tell, no theft she will not make, no c*** she will not s*** to serve her addiction.

These are the people who get set up with furnished homes and sell everything inside the house to fund their addiction.

The lady I spoke to said it was a form of torture. She considers her daughter a malignant ghost, a reminder of what should have been overlaid with the reality.

Elon wants to cut $2 trillion - US retirees living abroad - looks like low hanging fruit to me. Just look at frozen Uk pensions.

From Gemini ;

The exact number of votes cast by US expats abroad in a specific election isn't immediately available. However, we can provide some information:

Eligible Voters: There are approximately 2.8 million eligible US citizens living abroad.
Historical Turnout: Historically, turnout among US expats has been relatively low. For example, in the 2016 presidential election, only about 7.8% of eligible expats cast their votes.
Increasing Awareness: Efforts are being made to increase voter turnout among US expats, and it's possible that the number of votes cast could increase in future elections.

To get a more accurate picture of the number of votes cast by US expats in a specific election, you would need to wait for official election results to be released.

What do you think social security spending on expats might be? 2.8 million total. and how many of those ard collecting?

Much more in SSI and Medicaid  fraud  than that.

How much of SS is represented by actual benefits paid? 70m total collecting, $1.35T budget, that’s about $20k per person.

I seem to recall the left being all for means testing for SS back (I think) when Obama was in office.

Some deregulation in medical insurance and medical providers could save a bundle, as well.

Trump loves the poorly educated. He said so himself. Easier marks for the greatest con man in history.

And the left hates the poorly educated. That’s why they voted against Harris. They know how  she and the people she represents despises them. And they were smart to vote against her, and she was stupid to condescend to them.

The left runs education in the US, and look at how poorly educated the public is, and note that it is only getting continuously worse.

Pick up a high school text book from the ‘40s, and pick one up from today.

Now think about school administrators running the country.

In the UK we had a Tory politician say a while ago that "homelessness was a lifestyle choice"! Where do these people come from? The planet Zarcon?

There were various replies to her comment, mostly unprintable, but when you have people with that blinkered opinion of how the "lower classes" live, it is probably one of the reasons why they lost the last election. (Mind you, the new lot aren't much better, but as this is a post about American politics I will "zip it"!) replacement

Actually, people in the Uss have gotten a bit tired of the homeless in the US. 90% drug addicts and criminals. 9% mental cases. 1% hard luck cases.

In Britain we had a lot of EU based  expats that voted for Brexit to stick it to the man and then found when it happened a lot if them had to leave their retirement nests. But it felt good could on vote day. "We didn't vote for that , we didn't vote to include me" . But that's exactly what they did. MAGA expats can probably experience similar blowback in due course. Donald loves the uneducated after all.

I am retired and collecting social security today, and I would give mine up today to see the program eliminated in the long term.

I do not think the public should be dependent on the government for money.

Fact.

Universities today don't educate.  They indoctrinate. With some rare exceptions at strictly technical colleges.

And it's spreading down to the lower grades as the indoctrinated teachers get in front of fresh minds.

Listen to a Thomas Sowell on the issue.  He spouts facts and statistics showing how much worse it is for public school kids today.  The USA tops the spending per student, and is close to the bottom in student test scores.

So yeah.  The indoctrinated tend to vote Blue.

4.  Dollar goes up, down, up, down.

Nothing new.  Seen this before under various Presidents.

5.  BRICS .  The sky is falling again.

Based on your past predictions you might want to give it up.

At least we won’t run out of toilet paper again on the Supermarket shelves like we did under Biden.

But the US economy has never been better. You can thank Biden for that. Trump the felon is inheriting this. Dont forget that in years to come.

I agree with you to a certain extent about some of the homeless treating it as a lifestyle/personal choice, but there are many more that are in that situation not through choice but by circumstances beyond their control (In the UK anyway) and I do not like to see them all being tarred with the same brush. I have my own opinion on the multitude of reasons for this, but I would be "hijacking" this particular thread, which is about the American Election, so we'll have to leave it there.

As regards the Conservative Party ("Tories") and the Labour Party, I think that you could say that loosely your equivalent would be "Republicans" and "Democrats". The Tories  traditionally represent the middle class/better off, and the Labour Party is supposedly the party that represents the ordinary working man/lower class.

However, our new Labour Government are not exactly acting as many people think they should, as some of their recent decisions seem to fly in the face of their Manifesto!  (I won't go into it!)

Anyway, like you, I do not have a great knowledge of American politics, but I am rather bemused when a recently convicted criminal can be even considered as a candidate, let alone be the President of your country!

“More  educated “

Definitely not what we’re witnessing here by the posts of yours and other leftists.

Have you watched the screaming, crying meltdown video links of the snowflakes posted on the forum?

My favorite was the fat sack of guts in his “White dudes for Harris “ t-shirt ripping it to shreds upon realizing Trump had won

“More educated “.  I think not.

Do you have any “More educated “ meltdown videos of yourself to share with us?  Please share.

Last but not least are the “More Educated “ posts of Walker88.  Piece of work.

What’s scary.  Really scary is he truly believes in what he posts.

How does saying that person is a man dressed like a woman mean I have a perverted obsession with demonization?

Nothing is bringing P'Nut back but hopefully the facists wildlife exterminators will have their hands tied with the comeback kid. RFK Jnr is an environ-mentalist so saving the squirrels will hopefully be top of his in tray. Fun Fact he is married to Larry David's ex fictional wife.

"Getting away with murder" is a saying us British use, you can Google it........😉

Eeeer, who are my heroes that are rapists and paedophiles...?   🤔

Nice try to change what you wrote, "actually getting away with murder" is not the same as saying someone is getting away with murder. Key word was 'actually" and Clinton is a rapist just very well covered up, and look at how many Democrats were both at Epstein island and P. Diddy parties. But hey I forgot Epstein killed himself.

Nah! Primarily it failed because they had a very weak candidate, a campaign that was heavily negative, she was the incumbent in an administration seen as moving the country in the wrong direction by around 70% of the nation, she was blamed for the border problem and was the VP of the administration blamed for high inflation/cost of living, the wedge politics backfired and people are sick of the radical progressive woke left policies. Feel free to add to the list.

Do you think giving $25k to people would have driven housing prices down?

Nope. Reducing the federal deficit and having a balanced budget would be more effective.
