Have you personally seen any of these stabbing, shootings during your time in Thailand?

or have just been reading a lot?

I have personally seen a lot of angry farangs. Complaining about this, complaining about that.

The overly tattooed Brit didn’t come across to me as someone who was a calm looking person.

Good on the Thai gentleman for teaching him some manners

Take a few minutes and research a few pages here................https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=stabbings+in+thailand

Do the same as a thai if your out on a bike, be tooled up under the seat any metal for self defense of course.

So the Thai guy had a weapon in his car (for protection).  Are these batons permitted to all drivers?  With no police force in Pattaya, I witness 100 traffic violations an hour each time I am forced to venture out on to the roads.  Should all farangs who know how to drive, buy one against the 90% of Thais who have no idea their car is already an offensive weapon?

I have a 2" spanner sitting beside the seat in my daily.... weighs about 7lbs and is 25inches long.

For the Brit it's time to suspend his license, plus a fine should do the trick. The Thai guy should be fined and license suspended for ONE YEAR.

Why did you not say fine and suspend both drivers?

Luckily it all happened opposite the tattoo parlour 🤔

Thailand can no longer afford to mollycoddle rule breakers.

Automatically assuming they both have a driving license is,  just funny.

I've actually never been wrong because i base my replies  on facts and not assumptions. And brown nosing gets caught out and people understand why others do it. Yes, locals do read this forum. And tell me where I've gotten anything wrong, because always doesn't apply to anyone, especially me, as I mentioned earlier. It surely does for you most of the time, assuming you know anyone here or how much they know, and basing your replies on your own lack of knowledge on subjects and a barstool philosophy.

Delusional...

I blame the heat for the road rage incident 😊

No, that would be you...    More than any other poster you exibit a degree of delusion when making your generalisatoins that leaves one wondering what on earth is going on in that head of yours....

I simply cannot fathom how you manage so frequently to jump to such apoligsist opinions whenever there is a Thai on Westener issue.

--------

In this example we have two fools, both of whom were unable to control their emotions when handling a minor traffice incident.

We've no idea who was at fault for the initial infraction, but we know who grabbed a weapon and attacked with it.

Yet, somehow, in a state of complete delusion only equalled by your delusion in so many other threads, you abandon any sense of balance and shoot straight for the 'farang blaming'...

Whenever I read such comments of yours I always initially figure that no one can be this out of sync with reality... then as you double down on the imbalanced stupidity I realise you are not trolling at all, but actually mean what you write which is even more astonishing.

Hang on.

You didn't say that it was the Brit guy's fault (because all foreigners are bad) and how he should pay to replace the poor innocent Thai man's baton!

Are you feeling OK?

Who said Thailand doesn’t attract quality tourists?

Judging the victim of a vicious assault by the way he looks.

Nice bit of whataboutism and farang apologizing there.

sadly we see too often the road raging farang crazies, often drunk, often high on drugs, often just angry with the world in Pattaya so not a bad idea to have these defensive weapons in the car to protect yourself against them.

Doesn’t look too serious in the video, just a mild touch up to teach him some manners

Again, judging the victim, and attempting to justify a vicious assault.

'Perfect' is a polar opposite of any term I'd use...   delsuional, derranged...   I simply cannot fathom how someone posesses such a knack for repeatedly 'missing the boat' and to such an extent... then throws out the accusation that someone else "always gets it wrong" - a pitch-perfect example of delusional hypocrisy if I’ve ever seen it.....

You are just butt hurt because the poll I did overwhelmingly proved you wrong again.

75%  - 25%

All very predictable really.

My ex came at me three times with a knife

So the only incidents you have personally witnessed is by your ex against you.

sounds like a classy woman.

And I think if someone came at me with a knife (they never have, I get along well with the Thais) once I would make sure it didn’t happen again.

Then again, and back for thirds.

Some people are slow learners.

This Brit is a disgrace.

He attacked the Thai, but lost.

If you want Togo around starting fights it’s best if you can actually fight.

My ex came at me three times with a knife, and I've heard it many times from others personally. I also watch the news a lot and research crimes. How many farangs have you actually seen angry, beyond normal pissed off actions? A lot exaggerate things. You weren't there , so can't comment on what went down. I've seen some very disturbed people who looked very calm beforehand, then attacked others looking the part of a madman, so that doesn't work either. Also can't comment on anyone being a "gentleman" if they hit someone and you don't know the circumstances.

“My ex came at me three times with a knife”

Wow! You must of really pissed her off.  Not only one time either  Did she accomplish her mission during any of those times?

Being a self proclaimed man of facts.  Can you enlighten us with facts as the cause.  Up to you. of course.

I say this as it may prevent a love struck fool stuck in his mommy’s basement from believing everything he sees on Utube or reads about on Thai forums that it’s not always the land of smiles and happy marriages with a sweet, sexy, loving and devoted Thai woman.

I bet Mr. Edwards doesn't have a university degree...

Really ??  A poll on a forum makes drink driving acceptable ??

You stupidly think that surrounding yourself with other idiots is some form of scientific measure to justify your attitudes towards drink driving.

If you posted a 'flat Earth poll' and 75% of idiots voted that it was flat not spherical, that doesn't make it flat !!!

Your poll was fundamentally flawed in the manner that it was  'loaded' and lacked a 'balanced middle ground' option.

Kind of like polling and asking the question "have you ever tried Marajuna", and then jumping to the conclusion that everyone is dope-heads becasue so many people have tried it...

I think you cannot see that, because you are so locked into your bias that drink driving is somehow acceptable and the global stats, world wide governments and every scientific test regarding impairment are somehow wrong and you are right because you 'think' you are ok to drive after 10-12 pints...

Interesting that you automatically beleive that the Thai was defending himself with a batton...    and you will not for one second condier that the Brit was a victim of an assault and this might have been instigated by a Thai who lacked the emotional tools to handle a conflict without escalating to violence.

There are numerous possibilites of what might have happend - you automatically running with the 'Farang bad - Thai good' option higlights the extent of your delusion.

Your flawad bias is highly evident in the manner with which you have cherry picked your quote to fit your delusion.

< Mr. Arthit, in a display of anger, reportedly grabbed a metal rod >.. (which which he used to attack the Brit)

< He 'later' claimed self defence >

No witnesses reported that the Brit attacked first, witness did state the exchange was heated and the Thai attacked the Brit.

The Thai of course lied through his teeth to the police that he was 'defending himself...

...a 35 year old defending himself from a 70+ year old skinny man....

Hmmm...  he really needed that metal rod such was the strength and fighting prowess of the powerful british OAP !!!  :whistling:
