Actually, we have kakistocracy now, with the addition of Matt Gaetz, defense secretary Pete Hegseth, and director of national intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. Hell, let Mike Pillow run HUD. Pillows relate to housing, right? And RFK is going to destroy NIH. Interesting times.

kak i sto cra cy
/ kakəˈstäkrəsē /
noun
government by the least suitable or competent citizens of a state.
"the danger is that this will reduce us to kakistocracy"
a state or society governed by its least suitable or competent citizens.
plural noun : kakistocracies
"the modern regime is at once a plutocracy and a kakistocracy"

So you don't know either, thanks!

The Republicans didn't win.

Trump and the maga autocratic movement won.

The Republican is now the MAGA Republican party, just like the Democrat party is nothing like the Democrat party of twenty years ago. The POC Obama changed all of that.

Get used to it.

His talent isn't business.

It's being a con man and demagogue.

This rather tragically (as we have a president that clearly intends to rule as an AUTOCRAT) happened this time. Bigly.

It was the Democrats that were giddy about their prospects for a sweep of the House, Senate and electoral college.  There was talk of Supreme court reform (packing) and abolishment of the filibuster in the Senate.  You're projecting and expect the Trump administration to behave as Schumer promised the Democrats would.

Now that the tables have turned. Schumer is calling for bipartisanship, absolutely no self-awareness.

SCHUMER TO REPUBLICANS: PLEASE DON’T DO TO US WHAT WE WERE GOING TO DO TO YOU.

Yes that is exactly true. At first they said democracy would die and wouldn't sell it at any price. Twitter staff threatened to leave there was no way he could have it. Then he offered $45 billion best and final and they accepted. He got cold feet tried to back out built now Twitter wanted to make him buy it.

They probably thought it would bankrupt him. So he tries to back out and finds he can't He mans up closes the deal and walks in with a kitchen sink and fires everybody.

Many people laughed and said he would never get his money back. Now many would say it made him the most powerful private citizen in the entire world. His stock is doing better than ever and his private holdings are booming. I doubt he thinks much about $40 billion now. Easy come easy go for a guy like him.

As JT points out the guy has the Midas touch he is worth $70 billion more than just a few weeks ago.

He was backing out due to the amount of scam and bot accounts, twitter wouldnt give all the information he requested. They then sued him to buy.

It's an open question on whether there will be real midterms or whether the Trump autocracy will be able to convert them into Putin Orban type show elections. I am still hopeful the midterms will still be OK though.

So, no MAGA fascist dictator then? You seemed so sure two weeks ago, unless of course you were making it up, like Biden and Harris.

How funny wat it watching Biden smiling and laughing while congratulating the MAGA fascist dictator?

What do you think they said about your Dear Leader Harris?

An interesting comparison to the Philippines.

Oh, another Nobel laureate that hate Trump, that does it, I'm voting for...oh, too late.

No one paying attention believes anything on MSNBC anymore, they have zero credibility.

A very slim majority. If you love freedom of speech so much, why are you and all the other maga fan sore winners so aggressively and obnoxiously trying to get the opposition to Trump to shut up? I don't believe maga is really for free speach. They're for maga speech.

Still a majority, you lost, deal with it. Not sore, infact am so happy...do you realise what a hypocrite you are...you are the one that was aggressively and obnoxiously trying to shut up Trump supporters...you lost, we won and what a great victory it was to smash you racist, fascist Nazis.. now toddle off, do you need contact details of a support group to help with your tragic mental instability....bad loser, that's all you are

Actually, it isn't.

The situation (unfortunately) is in the U.S. system a fairly slim vote majority can potentially bring TOTAL POWER.

As opposed to a parliamentary system.

This rather tragically (as we have a president that clearly intends to rule as an AUTOCRAT) happened this time. Bigly.

FFS get over yourself, look in the mirror for ONCE in your life you'd  tell everyone black was white and still believe it. PS am non Americana cartoon character with blood coming out of his mouth

The better the appointment, the louder the left screams.

Any appointment the left approves of should be withdrawn.

So, keep Gaetz then?

We know that European countries will keep supplying Ukraine long after the US stops. They can't win but they won't immediately give up. This will create enormous tensions between Europe and the US which will be forced to choose between Europe and Ukraine or Russia and Trump. I think it won't be long before a decison to stick with Europe is made and the consequences will follow.

Isn't Gaetz the guy David Anderman had a non-consensual homosexual relationship with?

Hey a slim majority voted for this (by about a ONE PERCENT margin).

But how many really knew what they were voting for?

Too bad if they didn't. The dirty smelly deed is done.

2024 election: How ultrawealthy megadonors wield power in American politics.

Money always rules and always has done. For the average voter a tax cut is enough to vote for a candidate, the concern for democracy isn't very prevalent in America, it's a racist, 'thank you for your service', loud, brash, superficial country. Certainly a Musk-Trump combination is dangerous  but considering the clown cabinet Trump has chosen I don't think this circus will last very long. Musk thinks he has bought the government and his future demands will irk the alpha Trump, there is already consternation in the GOP concerning Trumps pick for important posts, he has become more of a laughing stock internationally than he was before. He may control the house and the senate but America is still a divided country, the world is a tinder box and  is heading for a recession while Trump pursues isolationist policies, I suggest his term will be short and explosive and the GOP will have to look for an adult replacement.

What other scenario is rational?

That Biden goes all out and defeats Russia before the Putin puppet dictator takes office?

Not likely. Biden will do nothing and nothing he can do would win the war in a month. Try a slightly higher altitude look and see what you can come up with. While many, yourself included appear to view this conflict as just some territory that Ukraine could concede to Russia to end it, other European nations have a more nuanced view of the situation and regard it as existential. I'm looking at Poland, Finland, Moldovia and others here.

jing thing and his dem fan club have gotten their knickers in a knot and are having a huge dummy spit because the people elected trump and ignored all the BS coming from ther left. They knew the truth & the crap biden has caused would destroy the dems and are now crying because the greater majority of the US apart fom the rusted on dems  saw through what the dems were doing to the country.

So, you made it up, and now you're lying about what my views are.

You guys lost because everyone now knows the left lies. Please keep it up, at least until after the midterms.

Actually, my opinion is that it is.  It was a landslide.   Your opinion may not be the same but that does not make you right.

Correct. But by your own yardstick, "your opinion may not be the same but that does not make you right."

I did not post that I was right, I posted my opinion as opposed to his dogmatic assertion.
